This is my favorite version of this, definitely. Just absolutely incredible! So glad to have found this.

Here's the recording of my set at Piknic Electronik MTL on May 27th 2023. It was a real honor to  set up the vibe and warm up the crowd for Chris Liebing and Charlotte de Witte. I feel immensely grateful to all my friends and music lovers who came early and put the dance floor on fire. Thank you all for making this moment so magical. This was by far one of the most beautiful experience of my career. I will cherish this memory for the rest of my life! Also a big thank you to the entire Piknic team for this incredible opportunity once again.

I discovered Quiet Village about 15 years ago in a record store in Munich when one of the employees handed it to me. He said it's not a club sound but a pleasure to listen to.

I agreed with him, and after the first listen I found what was happening on the record very exciting. It really sounded like what the title “Silent Movie” promised. Like in a movie, piece by piece a movie began in my head. 

After a while, I was downright addicted to the tracks and at some point I realized that this is an album for eternity. 

Every now and then I'm asked about my favorite albums and this record comes up in the same breath as “Chillout” by KLF or “Oxygene” by Jean Michel Jarré.
