Orbital Junction are a London based heavy band that have clawed their way to
the top of the stoner rock heap. The band was formed in 2017 by a pair of old
friends with the goal of unleashing hard-hitting stoner sounds. The band sought
to fuse the music of their heroes, bands like Wo Fat and Orange Goblin with
titans like Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age. This led to a unique take on the
stoner rock genre that has since seen the band dominate the stage at Desertfest
London and play to sell out crowds across the capital.
Since their first show in March of 2018 they have played over fifty dates across
the UK. These range from appearances at iconic clubs like the Troubadour and
The Black Heart to monumental opening slots, warming up the stage for bands
like Child, RIP and Nightstalker. In this same period they recorded their first real
EP at Skyhammer Studios. The self-titled release was engineered and produced
by Chris Fielding of Conan fame.
Riff Relevant reflected the general consensus when they wrote, “This self-titled
EP is a stellar fare of spectacular music from start to finish.”
With a new album in the works and an ever-evolving sound there is no
predicting what these stoned Brits are going to get up to next. The London stoner rock scene has been churning out no end of talent lately and Orbital Junction are simply the cream of the crop. The next year promises to be an exciting one for the band, it’s up to you to join them for the ride!
