Phuong-Dan`s sets are a hypnotizing, compelling mixed bag of rhythms and influences. Consistently exploring moods by jumping back and forth between musical fields with some sort of defiant approach. He combines gigs all over the world with project specific works and musical programming. A good example of the latter are the Gatto Musculoso nights he hosts at Golden Pudel Club in Hamburg since 2006, which through the years have seen artists of every shape and size. Since 2021 he runs dispari – a label and platform for all kinds of auditory publications, collaborations and performances at various places.

The Bristol city stalwart shows us how he does it with an extended session that moves through galaxial techno grooves, retro trance cuts and Villalobos-esque, scatty minimal, before building gradually to peak time floor shakers.
