Well known Polish producer and dj based in Berlin, founder of the Audio/Visual ambient/experimental series Why so Silent? (hosting dozens of events all around Poland, as well as Berlin, Stockholm and others). 

Founder and curator of his @innertension label– a platform where he can freely release his own productions, collaborations, and emerging artists in the scene. Blazej Malinowski has been featured on some of the best labels in the ambient, deep/hypnotic techno realm with past releases on @thegodsplanet, Kontrafaktum, @semantica-records, @silent-season and many more.

Known for his hypnotic and energetic productions and live performances he keeps a productive workflow and focus on studio work and creating the right amount of energy.

Over the last few years, Blazej has toured in the US, South Africa, various places in Asia as well as performing in many of the Europe’s best clubs such as Berghain, Bassiani, Tresor, IFZ, Macadam, Fuse, Jasna1, Ankali and many more.

For this edition of the Forsvarlig Podcast Series we have Berlin-based Blazej Malinowski behind the decks. Originally from Poland, he is the founder and curator of the Inner Tension label, which features a variety of his own work as well as upcoming artists in the scene. His other work has been released on established labels such as Kontrafaktum, Semantica, Silent Season and The Gods Planet. As for the nearby future, he'll release a stellar remix of Svarog’s 'Passengers' next week on PROPHET Recordings. Be sure to check that one out as well.

In this mix Blazej has selected some work of both well-known and rising artists in the scene, something we thoroughly enjoy. Altered states are stimulated with tracks that make a perfect fit. Expect a deep blend of hypnotic rhythms and organic techno with chiming textures. Enjoy.

@akobmusic are Paris & Berlin based DJs, producers & live act with releases on Lowless, The Gods Planet and more. We are very happy to present their special liveset recorded at La Marbrerie, near Paris, at a @lowless-music party alongside Neel, Wata Igarashi & Seb Alcachofa.

The idea behind their live setup is to create the ability to reuse and rearrange elements produced in the studio while leaving enough space for improvisation and tweaking the sound live in the moment.

The laptop-free setup is a combination of analog and digital machines: samplers/sequencers/looper (2x Octatrack), drum machines (Rytm), synthesizer (Syncussion, MB33, 0-Coast), effects (Octatrack, BigSky, T-resonator), midi controller (2x Nanokontrol) as well as mixer (Xone 96).

Kai Galactic is Techno DJ in Tokyo.He learns under the influence of father about Galaxy for the childhood period, and it becomes the reason of DJ name and his DJ play. He met Techno music for school days and started his DJ career in small county town. He moves the base in Tokyo. His DJ style plays deep and tripping Techno and creates story on the floor. Kai Galactic organizes his own Techno party "DAYBREAK". He invited Kangding Ray, Blazej Malinowski, Deepbass. In 2023, he launched "DAYBREAK Recordings", expanding his activities to include releasing his own track and managing his own label.

Perc & Passarella Death Squad - Temperature's Rising (2025 Mix)

Cio Dorbandt is a part of German techno’s furniture. Born in Hannover, she can now be found in Cologne, while over the course of a lengthy career she has stamped her mark on cities across the country, and many other spots further afield. Made a resident at Munich’s infamous Ultraschall in 2001, she had also spent much of her youth pursuing her aspiration to become a dancer in ‘80s Berlin—a place she now frequents for gigs at the likes of Berghain, Tresor, and ://about blank​, following a wave of international recognition in the late ‘00s.

With years of experience behind the decks, studio work came a little later for Dorbandt. Releasing on Prologue, Semantica and more, her sound as Cio D'Or was recognized as central in a wave of minimal, hypnotic techno producers, encompassing characters like Mike Parker, Sleeparchive and Donato Dozzy (with whom she has often worked alongside). More recently, she has turned her attention to a broader spectrum of styles, bouncing between dub and ambient soundscapes, with the focus directed on sound design. Her most recent album, All In All, was some of her most experimental work yet, diving head first into a world of piano composition and cinematic music, as well as the regular dancefloor fodder. Not prepared to confine her talents to record though, she has also orchestrated a choreography project alongside Brigitta Muntendorf entitled PULSA:RE, combining the work of an ensemble with a DJ set—yet another string on her musical bow. D’Or steps up for this week’s podcast, with a dramatic hour long mix of experimental techno sounds that gives a sense of where she is at right now.
