France-based Philippe Petit returns to Radio Slaves’ Rekids Special Projects with the six-track ‘Black Hole’ EP.

DJing since the early 90s, moving from Brussels to London before settling in Chamonix, France, Philippe Petit has been running both the Knotweed Records and Decision Making Theory labels for close to a decade now. Pushing music from the likes of Terrence Dixon, Opuswerk, Alberto Pascual alongside his own productions on these imprints, Petit has remained on the cutting edge of club-focused techno, earning him appearances at esteemed venues Berghain, Tresor, Corsica Studios and more.

Previously appearing on Rekids Special Projects with 2019’s ‘Anger EP’, Petit makes his second appearance on the label, turning in another set of stylistically diverse techno bombs. From the hypnotic synthesis and snaking acid lines of ‘Black Hole’ through to the laidback electro-infused live drums of ‘Lessons Learned’, Petit asserts his role as a critical underground figure in hard-hitting club music via his latest offering for Radio Slave’s techno-focused imprint.

Amsterdam imprint Indigo aera returns with a new chapter for their ÆX offshoot. Five new carefully curated discs will be released in 2019, following up number 001­-005 that have been released in 2017. Once again it comes on hand­stamped whitelabels, compiled by label owners Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff where they invite a mixture of befriended and likeminded local artists who are considered all inner family members of the label.

ÆX006 is kicking off strong and counts five tracks. On the a-­side it's the debut by Selfsoul and ESHU member Tetelepta. Followed on the b­side by Taupe and D&S, known for their vision on warm Detroit­esque techno and Russian producer Ivan Erofeev with a punchy dubtechno roller.

Subtyl artist collective has been making waves in the french underground scene for the past 7 years. Described as “one of Paris most dynamic techno promoter” by Mixmag, the collective has had a major role in the french rave renaissance, by organising clandestine events in industrial spaces. 

Last year, the collective opened its own venue in a former hallal supermarket called Megadestock.

A place that embodies the collective ethos, based on solidarity, passion and support for emerging talents.

To keep pushing this agenda, we are now releasing a 13 tracks compilation by artist we invited previously at our event. From Size Pier’s EBM to the violent experimentation of Quelza, through to Voiski’s iconic trance and Cuften post-rave sound, Megadestock Vol 1 shows the energy and diversity of the electronic music scene in Europe.
