For our eighth release, we are glad to welcome back our dear friend Vardae for a second EP on the label. His first output on 2019 had been received really well, so he decides to took the things further with this new one, presenting a more textural techno approach while keeping his own signature of raw and minimalist precise techno.

This EP was mainly inspired by paintings of Pierre Soulage called “composition de rouge et de noir”. What we feel when listening to the release is the continuity between the tracks, especially the first three. We could consider them as different layers of the same composition. They feature the key elements of what we want to promote with the label, cycling alien atmospheres, granular textures and raw beats with a clearly identified sci-fi touch. The last track shows us a different sound palette from Vardae with a more melodic approach, dominated by gentle pads but still keeping some voices atmospheres in the background.

Techno has many faces and this compilation shows but some of them.
STAUB has always been about the unknown and about diversity: newcomers come on stage after old-timers, peak time happens anytime. Line-ups are not announced. The rules of the game are blurred.

STAUB 006 will be released on (18. Sept. 2021). A record that embraces the very idea of various with 5 tracks and 5 shades of a genre we love and sometimes live for.

Artefakt @artefakt-official dives deeper into their electronic universe with a worthy follow-up on their Days Bygone LP on the Delsin Interstellar series from early 2021. ‘Brain Dripper’ EP explores adventurous paths in dreamy electronics, experimenting with emotive melodies and floating chords rendered into immersive idm and ambient pieces. On the flip the pair fuses their trademark deep techno jams with stepping electro brain workouts.

Space Drum Meditation sets on a new upheaving course through four acts of spiritual deliverance for his sixth creative chapter. From this EP, we present the closing track Dance of Tandava, a reference to the Hinduistic divine dance of Shiva. Initiated by bottom-deep percussion and edgy hats, the composition steadily increases its rhythmic patterns without overstretching its pace. By keeping it constrained, it forms a shrouding, ritualistic aura, which unfolds via sudden, windy echoes and concussive basslines. Then, the subtle mantra-like chants that purposefully appear halfway through the journey intensify the whole level of this sonic enchantment. Overall, it is another signature production that not only outlines the innate pull for motion expression but also points out the quintessence of sound as it mystically mends the void of existential gaps.
