≋ @zerocrossingpoint is also an artistic name of Victor Morelo, who is releasing his full-length debut album "Iteration of Self" on January 18th via @comicsansrec. Combining poetry, musique concrète, ambient, electronic, trap, Morelo has created an unusual fantasy world filled with strange but captivating emotions.

Despite the mighty successes of 2021, Prague's @UnizoneLabel are not resting easy on their laurels, and step into 2022 with the 'Augury By Birds' EP and cassette from London-based musician @MiedoTotal, with a remix from @kamarujoseph.

After rare apparitions on compilations, sound designer Victor Morello aka @zerocrossingpoint brings to light his very first full length release. "Iteration of the Self" gathers 8 tracks created on a 4 years interval and based on countless reworks and adjustments, mirroring a dense period of self transformation for the producer. Inspired by Ambient, Musique Concrete, Film Score, Club and Metal, Zero Crossing Point delivers a stunning piece of hybrid electronics, sometimes extreme, sometimes uplifting and cinematic.

Use and abuse of home made synthesised sounds and personal field recordings create an uncommon universe in which reverb, granular synthesis, distortion and resonators pave the way for an astonishing sense of narration. Drawing inspiration from nature observations, bizarre movies, books and video games, the Grenoble-based producer built a wonderful piece transcribing strong unsayable emotions and exploring the concept of iteration.

Zero Crossing Point  - 07 - Radiance

German Army (@german-army) is a duo from the San Gabriel Valley. Born between Sydney Possuelo and Paulo Freire, this project is as prolific and productive as it is shrouded in mystery.
Characterised by a certain amount of experimentation aimed at sound collage, the most industrial plunderphonics and the darkest noises, the enigmatic Californian collective has accustomed us to a certain variability of musical genres, but also, without a doubt, to an unquestionably high level of quality and a perennial dark emotional component, which reveals itself in an exquisitely overbearing way in their work.

'Then is Now' certainly doesn't spare itself in this, gently dragging us (but with no way out) into a dreamlike and post-apocalyptic scenario. The air is rarefied, the atmosphere terribly poisonous; noisy organic references blend with ruined urban components. A constant tension takes over our bodies during this muddy, murky sonic journey.

Time is the merciless executioner, the place the poor sacrificial victim.

It aims to express hopeful visions of better futures, not as clearly defined pictures but rather as vague shapes, looming in the mist.
