Yamaha Rm1x session

Built from samples of a Yamaha Rm1x sequencer had and serviced. Memories from my trip to Mexico on the turn of the millennium became my inspiration.  This was a place where I stayed for weeks eating brownies enjoying the atmosphere and breathtaking nature. It is a bit heavy on the limiters.

The chip sampled was actually designed with a pencil drawn on a paper at Atari (The "TIA" in the 2600 Game console). The rest in this clip/excerpt/ is spelled Roland. Thank you Ableton. Thank you TPB ;). This is just a soundcheck after trying another workflow.

190210 Abandoned project

One electronics bin 2011 Macbook were brought back from the other side in an ongoing project of building a home around lost and found objects. This is the latest outcome of that project. I recently started using it without the bottom cover after it got stuck in a boot loop needing some tender love and care. There were some magic key pressings, a replacement electronics bin SSD drive were installed and holes were drilled in the bottom cover. A cool breeze is now blowing around the cpu, the drives and the battery. With some refinements in the tools usage in Ableton the lag got away and now it now works like a charm. I expect it to work for many years to come. 

My advice to eventual readers: Do not punish your malfunctioning consumer goods.
