For this one I unfortunately became rushed. This whole week my internet was not working well and I was unable to view the lecture vids so I just went with what I thought would be a "hook" in it since I am having trouble downloading any of the lecture information to help guide me. But I think it's alright… Maybe not an A grade type material but oh well, I tried.

Order Through Blood is a "Misfit Metal" band that originated from Victorville, CA that was formed in 2011. The band is heavily influenced by Slayer, Slipknot, Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Avenged Sevenfold, The Black Dahlia Murder and Pantera.

What is "Misfit Metal"? Well it's something we made up because we feel like we don't fit in with any of the current sub-genres of metal because we traverse them. Each song has a different style to it; partly because we have so many influences throughout Metal and various other genres and partly because we're practically ADD. We want to create something new at the same time as using our favorite influences as a template.


The band started out like any other band, just a group of friends looking to have some fun and hang out. But as time went on, the music became more and more important in our lives. As we continued to write, we dove ourselves deeper into the world of metal, revealing new influences and interests. We found ourselves falling in love with the old styles of metal, like the classic Thrash Metal, while still keeping newer metal a strong influence. We often combine the best of the old and the new to create a different type of sound for metal-heads to prey upon. Though we started out as a small, just for fun band, we now consider ourselves to be pretty serious; we hope to one day conquer the world with the full on assault of music that we create.
