Arise

oh is the brainchild of Scott Smith, who found a new sense of inspiration living among the redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains, and channelled it into music. Although a long-time rock drummer, he discovered his love of Americana and folk styles of music for the stories that they told, and his desire is to bring songs to life that also tell stories, speaking to our existential nature, and the emotions that touch us all - joy, sadness, wonder, pensiveness, self-doubt, self-realization, contentedness, etc.
Working with different musicians who bring a broad range of timbres to the music, Scott's goal is to share this music with everyone, in the hope that each song will inspire different emotions and allow the listener to relate to the stories being told in different ways that reflect our diverse life experiences.
