🔊 Klangtherapie was an exciting adventure and quite a ride. From being sick at arrival, through a long night full of bumping beats and heavy rain. 

🪐 I played Sunday morning and didn't know what to expect. So I flowed along and the result is quite a rollercoaster through genres and vibes. 

⛈ Also my 2-hour-set became a 90 minute set due to various power outs caused by the rain. As I had to stitch the final recording together please excuse minor mistakes at two points in the set.

Welcome to the Strand at Sisyphos! It took us only 11 years of luv and friendship (and obv two DJ carriers) to finally play a set together. This is the foundation of a stable, trusted, musical bond between bird and fuse, two weirdos providing powerhouse, uplifting funk and music to make a duck face to (before the set we agreed of letting go of Indie Dance and committed us to house. See what actually happened lol). Thank you Sisyphos to make this a thing now and thank you my dear boi to still be around, exploring and analysing life with me. You good <3

In fall 2014 and spring 2015, passive acoustic data were collected via autonomous gliders east of Guam in an area that included the Mariana Trench Marine National Monument. A short (2–4 s), complex sound was recorded that features a ∼38 Hz moan with both harmonics and amplitude modulation, followed by broad-frequency metallic-sounding sweeps up to 7.5 kHz. This sound was recorded regularly during both fall and spring surveys. Aurally, the sound is quite unusual and most resembles the minke whale “Star Wars” call. It is likely this sound is biological and produced by a baleen whale.

The Oregon State Research Collective for Applied Acoustics (ORCAA) is a bioacoustics lab run by Dr. Holger Klinck at the Hatfield Marine Science Center.  Sound clips found here were recorded by students and contributers to the lab.  We specialize in marine and terrestrial animal acoustics spanning from sperm whales to chorus frogs.
