Phil Toke is a Sydney based DJ, producer, event organiser and co-founder of music networks, Soul of Sydney and Sunday Sanctuary.

Soul of Sydney is a collectively run Soul & Funk music network including, DJ’s, musicians, producers & break dancers working together to support and promote soul based music throughout Sydney.

Phil is also founder of Sunday Sanctuary, a regular event dedicated to Gospel based music, Deep Soulful House and underground disco. The launch of Sunday Sanctuary has marked an exciting chapter in Sydney’s dance music experience, providing lovers of Gospel, House and Disco with a uniquely intimate setting to kick back and relax or get down with some of Sydney's most talented DJ's and musicians.

Phil’s diverse musical style encompasses everything from Deep House to Afrobeat, Latin, Disco, Soul and Funk. His broad musical scope and technical skills don’t cloud his philosophy towards his work, that remains simple - to keep the quality music flowing, to play with passion and to always keep it coming from the heart.

Having been involved in Sydney’s music scene for over 15 years, Phil brings with him a wealth of experience that has seen him play alongside some of the world’s most influential Musicians, DJs and Producers including Roy Ayers, Francois K, David Morales, Grandmaster Flash, Todd Terry, Ron Carroll, Dj Spen, Joey Negro, Derrick Carter, Osunlade, John Morales, Marshall Jefferson, DJ Rahaan, Copyright, Jay J, Chuck Love, Simon Dunmore and Alton Miller.

Phil has also played at some of Australia’s biggest festivals including Soulfest, Playground Weekender, Peats Ridge, Vivid Festival and The Sydney Festival.

His musical passion and talent has also seen him perform in New York, Amsterdam and the Middle East.

The song "Locomia," by the group Locomia, is a vibrant celebration of the freedom and energy of Ibiza nightlife. The repetition of words like "Disco, Ibiza, Loco Mía" and the emphasis on themes like fashion, sun, sea, and sex show that the song seeks to convey the island's relaxed and festive atmosphere. DJ Shango a Burning Man DJ, a Philadelphia, DC & Jersey based DJ,
Bringing indigenous and world sounds that uplift, enlighten and open the chakras, Shango brings his vision to life through the motion and raw power on the dance floor. Art and music collide, healing the audience of their traumas using movement, chanting, mantras, crystal vibrations, live drummers, and tribal body art. Shango’s ancient futuristic artform creates a constant flow of physical and ethereal release within the audience, purposefully increasing the power and influence of the healing energy directed toward the crowd each event, creating a massive healing movement in Philadelphia and beyond.  

Shango is the founder of The Organic Mindz Tribe(The OM Tribe) consisting of spiritual healers, energy workers, Dj’s, and volunteers, all in sympathetic resonance, journeying towards one aligned purpose: healing themselves in order to heal the world. Together, The OM Tribe host Spirit Quest, a monthly Ecstatic Dance and Sober Healing Party that combines crystal meditation, sound healing, live Dj’s, guided indigenous movement, and Yoga, introducing the participants to complete mind, body, and spirit alignment.
Shango intends to continue fortifying his spiritual works, praying that he can help to bring light and love to as many light beings as he can.
