For the celebration we thought it’s time to have DJ Aleksi, the curator of the mixtape series, in the mix himself. He’s a familiar smiley face from the neighbourhood music hot spots and this time he’ll bring us some upbeat heaters.

”I wanted to share these sunny party tracks to be enjoyed with good wines and friends during Vappu. This music makes me fly” is how @djaleksialeksi describes the mix.

The wine to enjoy with this joyful mixtape is Joe Chandellier's ROSÉ PET´NAT 💕💖 from Languedoc, France. It's made of Grenache & Aramon grapes, and it's simply delicious and so beautifully pink 💕 Available in Alko ARKADIA.

How is the mix reflecting your current music taste?
I always try to record mixes with a large variety of genres, so this mix moves from zouk and afro to italo and more classic disco. Still, I can go through some periods where I focus more on a genre, which is the case here with Zouk and Freestyle (latin / synth-pop genre from the late 80s).

O'RHEUN Mix - Robinson

In this episode of Aficionado's Francachela, Pau Roca (@paur) takes over one hour of the show. The Barcelona-based artist, besides his well-established DJ career, manages Bons Records label and recently founded Escola record label with Breixo Martínez.

Pau has paid tribute to house music, disco, boogie, electronic, and everything in between at his Libido parties at the emblematic Nitsa Club. He has become something of an institution in Barcelona with his radio show at Dublab. He also recently released his first solo EP on Los Angeles' Pleasure of Love, a release that includes a remix of the legendary Pal Joey.

Viscardi & Il Duo Magnetico is the new collaborative project between italo-swiss DJ, producer and singer Pascal Viscardi, Yavor Lilov and Alain Sandri, respectively drummer and percussionist of the swiss cult band L’Éclair. 

The three musicians joined forces in Geneva and worked in the studio for the past two years with Viscardi as the main vocalist, Lilov producing the tracks and playing drums, bass and keys, and Sandri on guitar, percussion, and backing vocals. The result is a unique and contemporary version of italian pop, peppered with new-wave, boogie, disco and world music references.

On Sale Sole Pascal's mellifluous lyrics float on a midtempo boogie groove, projecting visions of sun drenched cities and summer sunsets. On the flip side Jamba Club is a reggae infused slow burner, reminiscent of night encounters and forgotten love stories. 

Sale Sole / Jamba Club marks the project’s debut release and serves as a sneak peek into the upcoming full-length album, set to release on Cosmic Romance in fall 2023.
