Oriana Curls is a French Jazz Singer-Songwriter based in London. Her talent as a songwriter and her impressive four-octave range voice has already allowed her to work with some of the best musicians, writers and producers throughout London. From such varied and successful artists as Andy Bradfield (Imelda May, Rufus Wainwright), Marcella Puppini  (The Puppini Sisters), and more recently with multi-instrumentalist and producer Koby Israelite (John Zorn) and LA based Grammy award winner Helik Hadar (Madeleine Peyroux).Having been trained classically in violin, piano, opera and ballet, she has a strong Italian and Spanish background that makes her a multilingual singer, being influenced by classical, jazz, Latin and French chanson. Singing about love and relationships, she seduces, moves and entertains the audience with jazzy up-tempo numbers and romantic soaring ballads. Combined with her charming gypsy violin playing and dance movements, she is very reminiscent of the most renowned French names (Edith Piaf), adding some timeless songs to her repertoire.
Having played as a solo artist or with her jazz band in many renowned London's venues ('The Royal Albert Hall Verdi', 'Brasserie Zédel', 'Lagan's Brasserie', 'The Coya', 'The Cuckoo Club', 'The Forge', headlining 'The Troubadour'...), she has recently performed at The Eiffel Tower for the promotion of the movie 'Freedom', event that was broadcasted on the French National news. Oriana is also part of the cabaret show ‘The Guinea Club’ and performed at the 30th birthday tribute for Amy Winehouse at the famous club ‘Jazz After Dark’.
Since the release of her song ‘Love Me Hurt me’, the track has received regular airplay on various radio stations in England (Shoreditch, The Bridge, Severn FM..), and throughout Europe. This marvellous song garnered very positive responses from their listeners, inspiring her to focus on recording more music with the talented producer Koby Israelite, an ep being planned for release later this year.
