I wrote this in 2016 for the Oak Harbor Music Festival and debuted it Solo A Cappella; looped up slow & steady… After a few years, this new aired-out version started to emerge.

This is my third upload to the 2020 Lockdown Sessions.  
There are a batch of songs I was writing while getting ready for one of my favorite and highest profile shows of the year. . . 
Well, I had to cancel my gigs and get out the way of the coronavirus wave (a gut-wrenching call at the time) so I never got the chance to share this new song with an audience.  Now seems like a good time to continue sharing some new music right here on our internet machines. 
I hope you enjoy ‘Getting There’; it has quickly become one of my favorite songs to groove on.

I’m also including a few snippets from the rehearsal studio.  This mix includes an old jam, a brand-new jam and part of a different version of ‘Getting There’ to round it out.

Here’s a short recording of my first time taking this new groove to the stage.  I’m really diggin’ it; it’s called ‘Afterglow’.
I just finished recording this one as part of the upcoming Lockdown Sessions in-studio performances.  
The other two snippets are excerpts from getting there and this new funky beat I laid down during rehearsal.
