Veak can very often be found blasting out the nastiest jump-up around, but this time he's on Original Key for a full, 11-track long album of strictly jungle proportions. Original Key are the every grateful hosts and we can see why, as Midnight City leaves the screechy synths behind and opts for a much more rugged, raw approach that blends rippling reese basses with diving sub wobbles and much more. 'Murdering Sound' exemplifies the approach, with an absolutely banging reese that flutters into life and collides in the mix with punchy stabs, underpinned by a rattling breaksy beat.
