Vital Elements has been on one of late and has literally been churning out hit after hit. If you follow his movements across various labels and platforms you will already know this guy really does have the Midas touch. Going straight in with a double A sided weapon..
‘Mushroom X’ is a growling beast of a tune, full of psychedelic twists and trippy basslines that would make even the most straight-laced junglist attempt some form of a shuffle skank. Chuck in a lovely old school breakbeat, B movie vocals and Vital Elements is no doubt onto a winner here. Just try and avoid those dusty old jars in your neighbours garden shed before listening.
Sinkhole forming ‘Transmission’ is literally ready to peel your skin off with its low end bass and swallowing soundscapes. This one blends darkside, menacing vibes with rolling beats and the odd atmospheric vocal sample. Ideally suited for the 4am shift to pull the ravers out of whatever hole they fell in or just to heighten the vibes. Either way, you’re sorted.

Vital Elements is a long-time stalwart of the rougher side of the scene, the side of the scene that perhaps doesn't get as much flashy publicity but that day-in-day-out plays host to raves, bedroom hang outs and after parties up and down the UK. Vital Elements is that guy who'll be at the party, spinning tunes and having a good time and this single encapsulates that no-nonsense, fun-at-all-costs approach. 'Mass Projection' is a bouncing leviathan that rests on naughty snare-action and lives up with its jagged bass notes; 'Smoke of Calii' is more of a rolling beast, it's back end stretching out and lumping you in the face. Another top release from man like Vital Elements and this big one comes in at a cool eight tracks. Lovely stuff.

Program’s seminal 100th release has finally dropped and so far, it’s delivered two bodies of work; an array of 54 exclusives through its most recent package as well as a sampler which acted as its prelude. For the next segment, the sister-label of Ram Records is unleashing yet more new music. With it comes a host of reworks, taking classic Program tracks from the imprint’s catalogue and having roster guests add their spin to each selection, following in the wake of their colossal Skantia 'Bassline Secret' reboot. 
Whilst fellow Russian artist Nais takes on the sounds of Teddy Killerz and Coppa through ‘Jackyl & Hyde’, Legion & Logam’s ‘Afterthought’ is given the deluxe treatment by Gerra & Stone. What follows is Legion & Logam stepping up to give their own version of Gerra & Stone’s ‘L.I.E.S’, Kung’s expert reimagining of Kelle’s ‘Repirator’, Levela taking Wickaman & RV’s ‘Sound Clash’ through his own lens, Subview adding his take on ‘The Truth’ from Stealth with Fats on vocals and Monument Banks making a welcome addition alongside Aperio’s ‘Grey To Blue’. Then to finalise the track list, Zero Zero’s rework of MD ‘Fiction’ and the Sound in Noise mould of Frankee’s ‘Firehorn’ leaves a delicious taste. 

Overall, it’s yet another celebration of what the platform has spent nearly a decade creating. So once again… It’s time to get with the Program. One which remains as groundbreaking as ever, 100 releases on.
