The 20th podcast of our series comes from @djvilify, who produced the eerie opening tune of our compilation "Dark Real Dark - Viewpoints Volume 1" and is a journey full of unexpected twists and turns.
She is the founder and long-time resident of one of Canada’s longest-running and most prolific bass music nights: ‘Bass Drive Wednesdays’ and set a 
strong foundation before relocating to Berlin in 2014.
With roots in Toronto’s vibrant Jungle & Drum’n’Bass scene from the age of 13 (alongside classical, opera and metal influences at home) VILIFY’s sound reflects an experience, rather than a need to be defined by labels. 
Starting off with a mellow 2-step production of hers, the podcast later progresses beyond any boundaries of genre and emotion. 
In the first half, distant jungle memories meet sinister, grimy basslines that dissolve into meditative dubstep vibes. 
As the tempo rises, the mix goes full-circle on these moods, then more spices are added to the formula, such as gritty halftime bits.
Eventually, it evolves into a breakcore-esque storm of drums before ending the trip with another, more melancholic VILIFY production.

The final podcast of 2019 comes from yet another very talented DJ from Potsdam - Han Solo (@gysey_gregorowitsch)!
In the 3 years of being active behind the wheels of steel, he has held multiple events with his collective Housebesetzung, following the slogan "slave to the rave - true to the school".
Driven by his motives to give back to the scene what it gave to him, to create unique moments of euphoria and to broaden people's horizons & cultural values, he runs parties with a political subtext at the beloved local safe ground Spartacus.
