Pre-Game Pump Up 2015

Cheeks (aka Chike), music is something he could never live without. Cheeks has always been one to enjoy a party but ended up spending most of his time sitting down appreciating the music because he was not much of a dancer. Being a local socialite, he attended all the “popular” parties and nights in his area.  

In 2009, Cheeks started his DJ career at a college house party he was invited to after his friend listened to him mixing on his laptop using Virtual DJ, a digital dj software. At the time he started DJ-ying, Cheeks had a love for urban music, mainly hip-hop and rnb which he regularly plays during his sets across the country. Cheeks claims to “play for the ladies” with his philosophy being “if you can get the girls on the dancefloor, the party will only go from strength to strength”.

Now in 2014, with dreams of playing abroad, Cheeks holds down a residency at Amagi, Kingston (Surrey) but plays regularly at private events and bookings. A  fusion of dance & urban music using Serato Scratch Live,  his natural intention to entertain where possible makes him strive from strength to strength in a set to give listeners a performance they cannot complain with.
