mettaway no°6: Metta Games | Supporting my fellow cloud-runners on the outdoor stage with a driving set to keep warm in the winter winds. After a good hour I transitioned to support fellow fire-artists with a bit slower downtempo tracks and a lot of ambient ear-candy. Ending with one of my favorite tracks at the moment: Magic - by swiss artist "unknown reality" - Thanks for the love and laughter shared and to the co-creators of Mettaway

This moment will forever hold a very special place in my heart. 

At Mettaway Festival 2023 surrounded by incredible people and amazing performances, I felt a spark, right then and there I decided to dive into DJing. When I shared my plan with a close friend and inspiration, he offered to sell me his controller on the spot. As I was leaving the festival, I carried a DDJ-400 in my hands and a burning desire to create and share music in my heart.

One year later returning to the very place where it all began and playing the first set of the festival felt like pure magic, my creative journey coming full circle, with the universe itself guiding me here.

Metta Community, your endless energy, love, and creativity inspire me in ways I will never ever be able to put into words. Thank you for everything!

Opening Energy Boost @ Mettaway Festival 21.11.2024

CHAOS! The Bouncy Boys descend upon the Mettaway festival in Germany like a solar storm, unleashing infectious grooves and untamed bass lines. 

The festival mixed together community, creativity, love, madness, and just pure fun. Not to reveal much, but the theme revolved around 10 intergalacatic space delegations, meeting around the arena for the metta-games olympics over 5 days.

So please, strap in your psychedelic space boots, and get ready to embark with us on what instantly became one of our wildest rides and signature sets with our favorite opener yet. It has it all: dreamy, psychedelic, hypnotic, naughty, sexy, bouncy, and as always, fat bass written all over it.

Intergalactic Mayhem @ Mettaway Festival, Germany | November 2024

Der gestiefelte Kater tanzt zu magischen House-Beats während sich Dornröschen vor den Toiletten zu fabelhaftem Punkrock ein Gläschen Sekt in den Hals schüttet.
Gut versus böse, arm sticht reich und es entsteht eine nicht reale Wirklichkeit, die jegliche Grenzen überschreitet.
Die Essenz einer Party zwischen Himmel und Hölle.
So, oder so ähnlich – that`s always Fairyland.

Es war einmal… ein pastellfarbener Feenschimmer. Er führt uns in die Gabbanallimärchenwelt ein und mündet ohne viel Glitzer ins tiefgefrorene Eis, eine Märchenwelt voller schräger Grooves, die auch jedes Schlappohr zum wackeln bringen. Versteckte Gewässer und eine versunkene Stadt, da setzt auch mal kurz der Herzschlag aus, um sich dann sogleich hymnisch aufblähend wieder zu erheben und ordentlich voranzueilen. Einer Nachtfahrt gleich ziehen Urlaubserinnerungen wie Lichter vorbei und münden geradewegs in den nächsten Traum. Loslassen fällt uns schwer, zerrissen in zwei Welten, aber der Übergang wird überwunden – war das eben nicht ein Déjà-vu? Unsere Märchenlandschaft verändert sich, hier Getrommel, dort Gesänge einer Sprache, deren wir nicht mächtig sind und spätestens in der Mehrstimmigkeit unterliegen wir machtlos dem fernen Spirit, dem wir vorerst nicht entkommen. Verständlicher wird hier nichts, nur abstrakter, bruchstückhafter und skurriler. Sind wir denn nun im Diesseits oder Jenseits? Oder ist das gar dasselbe? Im Märchen ist alles möglich und so verwandeln wir uns gleich in… Nun, das bleibt ein Geheimnis. Die Botschaften aus der Stadt der Liebe verdauen wir physisch und schließlich dominiert der treibende Beat so sehr, dass wir uns vollständig von der hiesigen Welt verabschieden – disconnection – ist das die Stimme der künstlichen Intelligenz oder blicke ich gerade ins Herzstück der Matrix? Unsere Gesichter kommen und gehen, vertauschen sich, verschwinden, erbleichen und erröten, welche Geschichte erzählen sie? Wie gut tut da der erholende Blick in die strahlend blauen Augen, die Seelen gelebter Leben. Abra akat kadabra. Da sind wir plötzlich in der Zukunft, es dröhnt und föhnt und stöhnt, wuchtig, maschniell, technisch, futuristisch. Wo sind die Schmetterlinge und Elfen hin? Wir schleichen durch die Aue, alles ist fruchtbar, die Wiesenbewohner sind ausgeflogen und uns leitet eine höhere Macht. Andächtig wiederholen wir abermals und abermals das Mantra: djaman djaman djaman djamani… Die heteronome Welt will uns beweisen, dass alles Chemie ist, metaphysisch meinen wir aber das Sein des Seins anders zu erkennen, da geht uns eine zweite Sonne am Horizont auf. Wie kann das sein? Märchen eben. Wer jetzt noch oder jetzt erst recht Teil der tanzenden Wesen im Dreamlandgewimmel ist, der segelt argonautengleich über’s Schwarze Meer und bringt den Schatz ans Land. Da braucht es zum Finale nur noch eins: Eure Liebe! Und wenn sie nicht gestorben sind, dann…
