This is part one of "A Simple Plan" a story based opera about the afternoon, evening, and night of a guy who breaks up with his long time girlfriend. It's his internal monologue and also about the surroundings at this park where he contemplates life or death.  

A Simple Plan

Man, I recorded this song ten minutes after I typed it and added the chords. It's not a serious piece, just a nugget of feelings that turned into a song when I scribbled it on the back of a famous song I had printed and was learning. Now I don;t know which side of the fucking paper is more valuable. The songs has a mistaken C chord for half a second on the second verse, but I was too lazy to record it again. If enough people respond to it, I'll probably make a better recording or burn the lyrics I still can't decide.

From the Cradle to the Grave

I am a singer songwriter. In 2006 I began writing songs. For ten-years before that I tried to become a published novelist and short story writer, and even won a couple of awards. To date I've written over 500 songs. I learned "Down in the Valley" at age seven on my mother's knee and knew I had to play music. In 2010 I began playing my original songs for audiences, wondering if they would be accepted. Since then I've performed a couple hundred times. I am inspired by folk-indie artists like The Shins, Elliot Smith, and Fleet Foxes, bands you often hear in little indie films and coffee houses. If that style is what you're looking for I'd love to take a booking with you for your venue or event.
