Gan Gemi drops his second release 'You'll See' from his upcoming mixtape 'Typebeats Vol. 1'.

"This is my last single “You’ll See” from my upcoming mixtape. My approach to this track was different to most of the other beats, with the fact that it was initially shorter but it felt appropriate to make this song a longer play. The “Baby you’ll see” part of the sample felt so catchy to me; I layered synths to help develop the sample as the song progressed so that by the last chorus, it feels like a celebration song which closes the beat tape".

Piston Recordings was founded in 2007 by label boss, DJ and producer Rogério Martins, to fill the void in Portugal's independent dance music labels dedicated to young and fresh new talents. Obviously he has a good sense for this - today the label can look back on nearly 700 releases and artists from all over the world send their demos to be able to release their music on Piston Recordings.

We’re super excited to get our mix series up and running. We wanted to continue championing some of our favourite DJ’s even when we weren’t putting on our events. 

First up is @urmacox. Urma’s relatively new to the game but her mix blew us away. 1 year in and she’s supported Riz La Teef & Mia Lilyand played at Utopia earlier this summer for Jaguar. She dubbed this mix as one of her favourites so far, going for a different feel with a more melodic and melancholic edge than usual to showcase some of her favourite genres in a softer light.
