昨年10月、"Re:CHEMICAL MONSTERS"として復活したWRACKの主宰パーティー通称"ケミモン"が、今年10月に1周年を迎える。

"CHEMICAL MONSTERS"としては11年の歴史があり、これまでにメキシコのNAAFIをはじめ、国内外問わず数多くのゲストアーティストを招致してきたが、過去に縛られず新たな未来へ突き進んでいくため、パーティー名を改名、再スタートを果たした。

今回の1周年では、日本を代表するVoguerのKoppi Mizrahi、ウガンダの人気フェス"Nyege Nyege Festival"に出演することが決定しているTYO GQOMから、KΣITO & DJ MOROによるユニットGQOMZILLA、テクノやジャングル、フットワークなど様々なジャンルを変幻自在に操りフロアを沸かせるmu”he、岩壁音楽祭の主宰メンバーの一人であり、エクスペリメンタルなサウンドからグルーヴのあるハウスやディスコまで幅広いジャンルをプレイするscrab、ヒップホップやベースミュージック、ダンスホールなどをプレイし、ラッパーとしての活動でも注目を浴びるMuney、そしてNAAFIやUSI KUVO、TREKKIE TRAXなど国内外問わず世界中のレーベルから作品をリリースするケミモン主宰のWRACKの計6組が出演する。

またパーティー前日の10月7日には、ギリシャのレーベルNot Now RecordsよりWRACKの新しいEP "Ice Effect"がリリースされることが決定した。昨年から世界的に再ブームとなっているダンスホールをWRACKが再構築した作品となっている。

会場を下北沢SPREADに移し、さらに突き進んでいく"Re:CHEMICAL MONSTERS"を現場で是非体感して欲しい。

Following on from a ferocious start to the year with “Machete / 777”, Club Romantico steps into fine form with the labels head honchos first official solo release in almost 4 years. Florentino has been hinting at a new sound for a long while now & its clearest manifestation arrives on the 28th of April in the shape of ‘Xcuse Me / Loka”.

Florentino brings some of the influences from his youth to the forefront here - with his father heavily involved in the Manchester acid house scene & his mother, with her own in-depth knowledge of different strands of latin dance music, also working in Manchesters club scene after first emigrating from Bogotá - the sounds of Madchester, an era gone by, echo equally alongside the sounds of early Nurican / Latin house here.

The artist manifests these sounds in a somewhat freaked manner, mischievous & seductive in equal parts, ‘Xcuse Me’ channels runway energy with cries to push the decibel levels further & further only for the listener to be told “Tu no sabes lo que hay aqui” . On the flip, Loka wears its Latin house influence on its sleeve, running through what feels like a million vocal chops of old Nurican records - only to be destroyed through the lense of skeletal Dembow & Guaracha with a structure that feels somewhat like a club mega-mix. Both are drum workouts with a twist, confident in their execution & unruly in nature.
