His obscure and ancestral style shows introspective journeys guided by meticulous environmental reliefs, hypnotizing rhythms percussion and melancholic synth.

10th episode of Cartel podcast with Mina Lord 

Mina Lord is producing experimental electronic music since 2017 after many years as a drummer in grunge, punk and metal bands. Rather than sticking with one genre, she utilized a whole spectrum of music expression in her own productions to create whole worlds and atmospheres for the audience to dive in to. Her main focus is to create her own sound by recording and designing all her samples herself. Often described as very atmospheric, almost cinematic - she creates music and DJ mixes out of stimuli. A deep interest in the interaction of visuals, space and sound, results in linking these elements together right at the foundation of a project. In December 2019 she had the debut event of her own music and art collective The Twelve Prophets, where she invites and collaborates with other artists to explore the link between music, visuals, technology and space.

Today’s guest is Theory of Chaos founder Meszkov. He started his techno artist journey back in 2017 when he was persuaded by his friend to get more into music. Meszkov is from Olsztyn and on a daily basis is a specialist in UV printing for an advertising industry. Teoria Chaosu, Broken Bones and Elekroniczny Olsztyn are teams and labels that he is a part of. Meszkov hopes that in the near future he is going to release his own EP and live performance recording. ‘They call it noise, we call it techno’. Greetings from our Polish brothers and sisters, let’s enjoy the ride.

Aleksandr Rain began play techno as dj at late '90s. In 2000 together with Krankiss he launched promo-group Art of Music which first in Saint-Petersburg (Russia) started organize regular hard techno parties. From 2006 Aleksandr played as hardware live-project Mental Distortion. In 2009 he joined as electronic part to ethno-electronic project Kamennoe More.  In 2012 Rain leave Russia and went to Asia where he residence at present days (currently in Vietnam).
Artist prefer more hardest substyles of techno with offbeat rhythms and IDM elements.

SKD is a Latvian producer, DJ and promoter, operating mainly in areas of post-industrial, technoid and experimental electronic music. He’s involved in STURM label and events, runs Construct / Destruct series along other occasional happenings and co-productions, and since 2010 hosts Absolūtais Minors radio show on Radio NABA, dedicated to local undergroundelectronics.
His music has been published on labels like Metaphysik, Monolith Records,Furanum, Ohm Resistance and Gegen Records among others, and since the late 2000’s he’s been regularly performing as a DJ and live - solo or in bands.

In this world, there is no place for the constantly recycled concepts of darkness and destruction that dominate certain genres. Neither is there place for the hedonistic simplicity of other genres. In fact, there is no place for genres at all. Progress and future are the only focus.
