Deluge

In Jungian psychology, shadow self is the part of our unconscious mind that holds all the things about ourselves that we repress, whether because they are evil, socially unacceptable, taboo, harmful to others, or detrimental to our own health. Shadow self is not bad or shameful. Not to be fixed or healed. It is an intrinsic part of self. If denied and repressed, it can become a real problem and push you to extremes, self-deceit and deceiving others. Everyone carries a shadow, and the less it is embodied in the individual’s conscious life, the blacker and denser it is.

The piece mainly focuses on contrasting colors of granular and non-granular textures, creating
“darkness” and “tension” with noise elements, and “light” and “release” with spectral harmonies.

"Shehekh" is a ritual melody for removing a bullet in Circassian tradition. During the healing ritual of Chapsh, the Circassians sang it in order to drown out the groans of a wounded
warrior, as showing weakness openly wasn't traditionally accepted. Shehekh is characterized by its continuous, trance-like nature, without a distinct beginning or end.
