progressive musical storytelling. again a delicate and thoughtful arrangement. never gets boring thanks to the variations and slow build-up, which i'm a fan of.  bringing in the drums at the end was an excellent addition.  BTW: you program all of your sounds or do you also play some live, for example guitar, string or maybe even percussions? obviously i can't tell from the sound, because it sounds authentic to me. meaning it's impressive either way - if you play some of them then wow, marvelous playing. on the other hand if you program them then wow, marvelous programming! respect :)

you always manage to capture a range of emotions in your music and you do it so well. not only that but the production and use of sounds to convey such emotions is top tier. truly incredible.

  This song began with a request to me made by Karin-Maria about contributing an original song as a collaboration for her new jazz album called Jazztastic. After fleshing out a song on the piano, I had to get my right-hand man Ken involved to add the drums, because of course I did. 
  After we had worked it out on bass, piano, and drums, we sent it to Karin-Maria, who added the sax solo. She had it professionally mixed and mastered, primarily because the album is now available to stream on all the major platforms. So, please give the whole thing a listen. It has a bunch of collaborators on it, many of whom you will probably recognize.

Hi everyone.

After three weeks sick, he seems to be starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel (That's what we say in Spain...).

My precious kidney stones have prevented me from focusing on songwriting and my commitments to some friends here, and will continue to do so for a while...

But my spirit regains energy and that's why I leave you here a composition from almost 8 years ago that I don't remember having published before.

It is one of the most complex electronic parts ever made.

It's true that I remastered it a few years later in my second mixing studio......yes, in my second car with BT.

I hope you like it, while I hope to expel two of my beloved stones from the four I have had since the last month.

Why Am I Thinking These Things?

A soundscape describing a WW2 air raid. Nothing jingoistic here, it's meant to describe the horror and twisted logic of 'total war' and how it destroys the line between civilians and soldiers.

Composition – The Eclectic Collective

This song began about half a year ago, as part of a three song set that Ken started with some really cool beats. Josh was first to the trough for here, laying in his fretless bass groove to complete the foundation and give it some tonal direction. Stephen came next and laid in the really trippy textural guitar that you hear throughout. JJ was next with his serious, no joke organ playing, which sets the mood for the whole thing. Last, but not least, Tez joined by adding some really cool accent guitar throughout.
  Of course, every great song needs a great producer, so we tapped Stephen to do the honors on this.
  We had originally made this and the other two songs with the intention of having The Mysterious Decibel and his friend Modes About Me sing on them. However, life got in the way, so we sat on them. Finally, MD let us know that he wasn't able to complete the project with us, much to everyone's, including his, disappointment. However, MD did lay down a rough vocal demo for us, which Stephen very ably processed to sound almost like another instrument in there. So, we're releasing this song as a tribute to them both, with gratitude, especially to MD for all the great work he's put in with us. If you're not familiar with either of them, do yourself a favor and check them out. Modes about me is at  @modesaboutme and the link to The Mysterious Decibel can be found in the link in the cast of characters above. 
  This is an example of what it sounds like when the whole band composes a song together. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.
