For the seventeenth instalment of the Orphic Series, we welcome Twitch streamer BEKIMACHINE to take over mix duties with an hour of melodic house & techno, filled with euphoric energy and atmospheric vocals from artists like Grimes, HANA and Eynka. 

BEKIMACHINE is a London-born, Birmingham based emerging producer & DJ. She's known for producing electronic music ranging from synth pop to techno, creating an ethereal, otherworldly sound.  She has a habit of crafting music with a sense of atonality, filled with catchy melodies and bass hooks whilst evoking nostalgia.

Last year she took DJing from Twitch to the stage, playing a string of shows to date including TwitchCon Amsterdam, Berlin Brighton & Shaydefest - falling in love with the atmosphere & energy of the live room, whilst sending the audience on an emotional journey through music.  This year, she opened up for Elevation at EGG London as their DJ competition winner. 

Her latest single, Crescent (Blood Moon Remix) marked the starting point of a new chapter in her music, infusing techno into her synth-pop sound.  Prior to this, she released her debut album Another Atmosphere in 2022, a video-game inspired synth pop saga, gaining positive support from SIDE-LINE Magazine and securing radio play from BBC Introducing.

I recorded this set after all of my travels and finally being home at my own gear and able to play with my toys. This set actually reflects my year perfectly as it went very fast in the beginning when I was in Thailand, then it got crazy when I went to Afrikaburn and then from this moment it went even crazier until It slowed down a bit by the end in Mallorca. Wow what a ride - all went by so fast - just as this little crazy and fast set :) Enjoy - it's a ride!

Mal.Da Home Alone

Shoutout to all the visitors at Seaboard Wednesday last night. The dancefloor was fantastic, filled with people who were genuinely there for the music. Playing a set that long (6-7 hours) is always a unique experience and presents a real challenge to both your physical stamina and music library. However, when I look back on it now, I can confidently say that everything went perfectly.

After a few weeks of high-energy sets, I was really looking forward to something more musical and deep. I consider myself fortunate to have the opportunity to share the stage with both talented new artists and well-known ones. I'm also grateful for the chance to play my own tracks and receive such wonderful feedback.
