We are very pleased to welcome Pas de quartier as our 29th guest on the Kaos podcast series.

Pas de quartier draws inspiration from post-industrial music and the new wave movement that emerged in the early 80s. This fusion of influences allows him to explore a rich sonic palette, skillfully blending heritage with modernity. His style is characterised by music that is both cold and melodic, whilst incorporating elements of EBM and industrial music with techno rhythms that are powerful and mesmerising.

This bold alliance invariably captivates audiences, immersing them in a hypnotic sonic journey. His talent has quickly caught the attention of Parisian nightlife institutions such as Maison Pourpre, Mess Paris, and Forensics Paris, as well as international scenes, with standout performances for Innersoul Magazine at the Bourg Club in Lausanne, Switzerland.

"This mix is like a disordered diary of the mind with old and new memories, distorted, convoluted, like feelings. Intertwined with reality, like a labyrinth or a dream. All these tracks resonate strongly. I wanted to include some old and new favorites because of how special they feel. From electroacoustic compositions and soundscapes to drone, unclassifiable experimental music and noise, doom, early industrial, post-rock, and post-punk. In no particular order. A big thank you to these artists (tracklist below) you bring joy in our strange era. You'll also find in this mix two tracks released on my label @mutantmodality (Houses Of Worship aka Thisquiearmy & Hellenica - from Montréal; Der Mord aka Yannick Franck - from Brussels ) and two ambient tracks I composed (as 'Ottoman Grüw' and 'Jean Grünewald'). She seeks comfort in chaos, combining her love of dance music with experimental soundscapes, exploring the space between romanticism and heavy-hitting industrial. From dark and industrial sounds to the hyped and killer techno beats, she creates a deep connection with the crowd through well-curated selections and storytelling, painting the picture of an artist who is deeply passionate and skilled in creating memorable experiences.
 
Her unique mixes have been heard across London where she has become a favourite of the underground techno scene and internationally, as she has expanded her music footprint to Berlin, Copenhagen, Vienna, Riga and Prague.

One of the most highly respected acts in both techno and industrial circles, Orphx (Rich Oddie and Christina Sealey) have been refining their signature fusion of hypnotic rhythms and experimental noise for many years. They began in the early 90s with a raw sound inspired by old school industrial but soon began incorporating elements of dub, techno and electro into their work. Orphx built up an international following as one of the pioneering acts within the European "rhythmic noise" scene. More recently their work has come to the attention of techno fans through a series of acclaimed releases on the Sonic Groove label, collaborative work with the likes of Ancient Methods and Justin Broadrick, and remixes for many artists including Front Line Assembly, Oscar Mulero, Perc, and Conrad Schnitzler.

Oddie and Sealey have performed around the world at celebrated venues like Berghain and Tresor, and festivals such as Berlin Atonal, Movement, Mutek, and Unsound. They are renowned for their improvised performances, combining software with modular synthesizers and other hardware. Building on a sprawling back catalogue that stretches across industrial, ambient, and techno, their recent output has demonstrated that Orphx are both pioneers and innovators in the fusion of rhythm and noise.
