A year in the making. I met an amazing musician online and within days we started working on something together that has ended up being one of my favorite projects to date. The sound is new for me, and I couldn't be happier with the final result. This is also one of me strongest moment lyrically as well.

I met this magnificent man at 23, and a year later moved across multiple state lines to settle down with who I knew to be the love of my life, and someone who truly understood who I was, who I wanted to be, and what I needed to be happy. The picture I took exactly 1 year after we met in person, and now in 2024 we're getting ready to stand at the alter, with our friends, family, and God as our witness to finally say those two words... "I Do"

It's Mother's Day. A year ago my step father Keith's mother fell ill for a while. She pulled through, but during that time the thought of him losing his mom went through my mind a lot, and I'm sure his too. So as both a comforting gift to him and her for mother's day this song was planned, but sadly never came to fruition until today. Now there is another deeper meaning behind it.

We all have mothers that we of this generation will one day have to remember. Our mother's have their moms they have to remember either now or later. Our Grandmothers have mother they remember. So this is one big mother's day gift to all mothers both in this family and apart. 

In this cover you here my father Frank, my step father Keith, and me signing to our mothers and our grandmothers and so on. Hopefully this is something our mothers and grandmothers of past present and future get to listen to as they look back at those better years with their mothers.

The last thing I remember my late great grandmother Mary-Louise had told me was when I first came out to my mother's side of the family. Despite all my preconceived fears about what would happen, she walked with me around the neighborhood telling me no matter what she loved me, and that to her the story in the bible of Sodom and Gomorrah  is not one of Gods wrath against homosexuality, but one of his cleansing of the vile natures that had bread within the city. It wasn't the gays that caused it, it was the even worse crimes committed by the people of that city. So no matter what she didn't judge me, she only loved and prayed for me, and so did God. That there is nothing wrong with me, and that I am who I'm supposed to be. Mary...I believe what you say of me.
