Bleed For It by Julian Winding is part of the soundtrack of the film VICTIM OF LOVE by Jesper Isaksen. It is a dark, menacing and adrenaline-pumping electronic track which suits the bloody yet stylish horror-thriller perfectly.

Well, I’m getting close to the end (well, a sustained break anyway).

For those of you who don’t know I am about to have a sustained break from song writing. Long story, but I am basically burnt out. Lately music hasn't been the escape that it use to be. So after the next couple of posts I’ll be sitting on the sidelines for a while.

With that in mind, you get a sense of where ‘Il Bastardo’ came from. It is an angry song. You can pick up a very negative mood in the lyrics. Clearly I wasn’t in the best place when I wrote it. Reading the lyrics now it seems to be anger without a specific target. Thankfully moods come and go.

This is a strange song. In fact, it is pretty much a ramble and a bit of a mess. It has a bit of energy to it, but the lyrics and structure are all over the place. It contains passages that are some of my honest writing (see verse two) and some of my most over the top (verse three). I guess the one aspect that I do dig is the intro guitar riff – pretty nifty in my opinion.

As for the trance like textures I thought why not? I had experimented with trance and blues in the past to mixed results. I think in this song it works OK.

Oh yeah, the title means 'the bastard' in Italian - not that you probably didn't know. I thought it was a bit of humor in an otherwise humorless song.

Anyway, it is all a bit of jumble but still enjoyable to listen to. Well, in my opinion anyway.

An alternate take from Orangeroom-Patch, coz I thought there is one more thing.
I put a simple stupid drumbeat to this piece(inspired by "DaDaDa" from "Trio";). The Mutant BD9 Bassdrum can sound rough und also smooth in a HiFi-way.
As always this is not a track, it‘s a patch and completely created with my humble Modular-System and recorded in one take.
