Carbon Nerve is a Miami based producer/DJ working within various genres of electronic music.  The perfect description for his sound is dark and minimalistic, yet sophisticated and intense. Quietly involved in the electronic music realm since 2012, his productions lately have honed into the darker sides of dance music while also not shying away from experimental productions. This is best represented in his latest release Metamorph / UNphase which combines familiar techno rhythms with more abstract sound design while keeping a very heavy groove in the club.

In 2019, Carbon helped launch a brand with local producer Poizd under the name of Ground Zero that hosts techno events in Miami. These events primarily came from the fact that they both saw a lack of dark techno in South Florida. “That’s not to say there aren’t any because there’s collectives scattered around the city doing harder techno. We want that darker, deeper, hypnotic type of grooves that you see from the likes of Second State or Klockworks to name a few.”  

Fast forward to 2021, Carbon has most recently opened for artists such as Sam Wolfe, Umek, and Tommy Four Seven in Miami while also gearing up for a couple of new releases that are picking up right where he left off on his last release.  This is going to correlate with the launch of a new record label, InfraBlack Records founded between local producers Cespedes, Poizd and Carbon Nerve.

Up at 2AM because I couldn't remember how Pegasus lost his Millenium Eye. So I watched the summary of Season 1 to 3, listened back the opening OSTs and ended up making the hommage track sampling the main theme.
