Tunng and Pinkunoizu toured together across mainland Europe and the UK in September/October 2013. To celebrate, the two bands remixed a track from each of their most recent albums.

‘Gravity’ is the third single taken from the new third studio album ‘Lost’ by Trentemøller. With the drum setting inspired by early Krautrock this wonderful and mulitlayered song still breathes the Trentemøller signature. The vocals have been contributed by Jana Hunter, singer of Baltimore based band ‘Lower Dens’ and melt perfectly with ‘Gravity’.

On the B-side we’ll find a remix by Copenhagen & Berlin based band Pinkunoizu who are currently stirring a buzz with their new album ‘The Drop’. Their version puts the song in a new light with re-arranged drums and a hypnotic build.

From the mournful opening breaths of “Roses & Kisses” – a new career high point for the band – it’s obvious they are charting a dynamic new course that simultaneously pays tribute to and explodes the legendary beatmakers that came before. Midnight Features Vol. 2 skins traditional hip-hop to its bones, then builds it back up with the flesh of Eastern European private press psych records, obscure film soundtracks, indistinguishable radio broadcasts, library tapes, and who knows what else from who knows where else. The most remarkable feat of Midnight Features Vol. 2 is not the impressive array of sound sources, but how Lilacs have managed to orchestrate so many seemingly disparate genres into one cohesive future music. They execute sudden changes in mood and tone with uncanny dexterity and grace – a feat made more impressive by their newly expanded line-up that includes Jay Clarke (Ash Black Bufflo) and Zac Reno. Following their successful releases on Chequered Wax, Fresh Take Records and Andras Records, Bristol & Brighton based duo Sonic Juncture, comprised of Josh Twigge-Molecey & George Protheroe, share their latest EP 'Planetary Pursuit' with Westival Records. 


Their opening track, 'XDimensional' hits us with an attention-grabbing sub bass that continues throughout, with a variety of synth textures and a running bassline to take the listener on a spook-filled, trancey journey from beginning to end.


The second track on the EP 'Thursday Groove' is driven by a rubbery bassline, jazzy chords, and crisp percussion. The track cruises through rich synth textures and subtle atmospheres, striking a perfect balance between laid-back groove and dancefloor intent.


'Find My Way' teases us with delayed, garage-like vocals and a mixture of energetic percussion combined with an arpeggiated bass, synthy riffs and tambourine sounds for the track's duration.


In true alignment with the EP's title, 'Planetary Pursuit' (Dub Mix) forms a progressive banger starting with saw tooth synth riffs and an 80s style snare, which make way for a groovy bass synth at the drop. The soulful vocals (Vocal Mix), saxophone reverbs and pipe-like synth throughout add further layers of differentiation to a chaotic yet atmospheric floor-stomper.
