the lilies rise above.

Pink medallion and ceremonial marble
foretell the day's bone fall 
down to the fiery pit below.

The dark one smoked a blood pipe
over a coal belt diamond
on the day that I was born

and on and on it plays
this primordial sway.
No two are the same
and the avenue goes long
and it lays the sand it paves
and heat, it graves
the hands that slaved
and built to save
the one last thing you hadn't gave

and we rise like ammonia
sink like mercury
unearth the mystery
arise from the bed
live like the dead.

The thought charm poisons.
The anger roils in the street.
We are locked within chambers
in chase of the elusive pleasure.
They want to keep us in need.
They want to keep us apart.

Breathing Space

I don't like theological interpretative authority (see ‘Lone, lost in hope’). nevertheless, I am an agnostic who fully accepts any religion unless it leads its followers down destructive paths and justifies this as a higher, sacred mission. this also means I truly appreciate the positive power that faith can unleash in people, even though I myself rely on other mechanisms.

however, hope is hope, regardless of whether you direct it to heaven in prayer or simply carry it in your heart as a faint wish. 

here’s to the desire for just one silent, holy night, calm and bright, to sleep in heavenly peace. with a wish list that requires no further explanation, just ears to hear a prayer that should finally be answered. by those who can fulfill it. not god, but us humans.

peace is the most precious gift in the world, not only these days.

You look up at those stars in the sky, it’s hard to imagine it’s just us,
But what if this is all there is in the universe.

The average person’s out of touch,

The clown car’s heading toward the cliff,
And you’re just an average working stiff.

Going about your daily routine.

The cockroach in your kitchen, you sprayed him with a can of Raid,

You're thankful you had enough  money to pay for all those items in your cart.

Sometimes you go to the zoo to see what the animals do,
’Cause it reminds you of how you feel when you go about your daily business.
You go to the dog pound, it’s a canine lost and found,
You wish there was something similar for two-legged hairless apes.

    Osatethe is a band name I created a few years ago. Opium Satan Death (deth) and the e on the end for flavor. I don't advocate for the drug. I just did it once and it changed me drastically. And I was really into metal music at the time, Satan and Death... 
    
 I've been recording music for about 15 years, on laptops. Staying with friends and family. I get a job now and again, but I always lose all desire and hate everything and go back to the music. Can't keep it up forever. I guess, but that's the way it's been. Bad relationships and it's hard to be genuine among people just trying to get through the day. So I stay away from it all a lot. Most important to me that I hold on to my reality. 
   
  Riley is a good friend of mine,  and he writes these unique poems, and it's a great privelage to sing them. I can record music quick and easy but lyrics take me forever, and I feel like he says better what I want to say. Down with society. Up with originality. Take it to the bank. Live from the heart.
