Wright in the Mix returns to the airwaves between 12:00 and 14:00 on Saturday 14th June. This time, he's joined by some of the best local Drum and Bass talent Sheffield has to offer. None other than Overtone and Finkla.  Expect smooth rollers and exclusive vinyl cuts to keep your head bobbing and psyche you up for your Saturday night. Overtone has been smashing it lately, putting on some of the most exciting Drum and Bass shows in the city (B:SIDE), and has recently just played out at the D & BBQ where he shelled down a set B2B FINKLA.

This set was recorded in Adams studio after work and was too much fun to not share on Soundcloud. I haven't put a mix out in years so here you go folks xx

This was born out of a lunch break with my good friend Rowan in the 6th form music studio. I think this was the 2nd take we did out of 3, and I'm so happy with how it turned out. These soulful liquid drum and bass tunes are made for Saxophone, so it all fell into place.

DEVINE WRIGHT is a Sheffield based DJ and Instrumentalist. Inspired by the pioneers of Drum and Bass, Randall and Calibre, he has a plethora of music and knowledge to ride the set for any occasion. Lately he has been turning down the tempo and finding joy playing global music, with an emphasis on Jazz, Latin House and Broken Beat.

He has partnered with Funky Drummer (@PeterRabbit )to deliver a live Saxophone + DJ set. Usually accompanied by other Sheffield based musicians, Funky Drummer adds an organic element to a late night DJ set, and is a crowd favourite.
