Rising Romanian minimalist Lenesu embarked on a mission to deliver a full length album release, of which is a proud moment in the Arupa camp.  From featuring in our podcast series and being a regular in our inbox, Lenesu has gone from strength to strength, unveiling nine brilliantly original tracks.  Aptly titled ‘From the Beginning’ with tracks titled only by number; notable textures create atmospheric tensions throughout.  Built in subtle nature, set free with emotive character.  Each track has an entity of its own; many, many intricate layers, individual arrangement formats, classy production techniques. Brought together fantastically by Lenesu and topped off with a super distinctive remix courtesy of our good friend Vadim Oslov.

It’s Double Trouble and it’s gonna be stuck in your mind like ha, I like them all. Remember, that it’s not just magic, it’s Just Fish Wax. We hope you enjoy! 

Tentomushi (Oscar Jones Remix) - Well, did that tune take a quick trip to the UK? Or maybe to NASA for one of those tours they do that you see on whatever medium you consume your TV. No, not.. no.. you know what I mean. D’you get it? Cause there’s so much space. Snares roll, there’s not so much space now, it’s a low end rhythm. Jungle percussion comes clear as it all falls apart.. it thins, but we are back, snap. Definitely, they’ve done each other dirty. 

Tentomushi (HISH) - Madame Ladybug, or whatever it’s called, well, now I think about it you can’t really compare the two but what I am trying to say is it’s a bit of a symphony. I’m drifting, egged along by that hauntingly beautiful…harp? I don’t know, and I don’t care. I kinda hope these voices will stop, but only kinda. Goddamn. 

Ebb and Flow (HISH remix) - Ugh, my wetsuit is still wet. But, “no bother”, says the Instructor, as they explain the ins and outs of ebbing and flowing. And just when you thought you had your moves locked down! You’re never too old to learn something new, or at least to notice the differences. Deeper, hollow.. like a robust canoe. It’s like they have done each other dirty. “Foul play!” calls the Instructor. 

Ebb and Flow (Oscar Jones) - A smooth entry, or flow, if you will. Feel yourself bob along, carried by the current. Ebb, flow, but this is no place to go white water rafting. No, this is a much more manageable affair, but it doesn’t mean you aren’t gonna have fun. An elegant glide, a percussive slide, and you have arrived at your destination.

The third release on We Are FTR welcomes Oros to the family with his Inside Out EP, presenting a trio of cuts to perfectly showcase his sound. 'East' kicks things off, stretching out over the full A side with its captivating yet stripped back groove characterised by carefully crafted string samples. On the flip things get deeper, starting with the deceptively powerful 'Rek' which finds the perfect blend of head-down introspection and driving energy. 'Bartolomeo' closes out the EP with its alluring atmospheres sucking you in before more strings give a nod back to the A side and tie everything together perfectly.
