For SLT019 Michael McLardy makes his return to the fold with his second five track EP, People Watching. Expect full throttle, rolling techno throughout.

The title track speaks volumes of this release from McLardy. We’re greeted with heavy, rolling kick drums from the off, before the energy shifts to the dark and eerie chasms that are created throughout the cut. It’s a peak-time, dark room roller. Essential techno.

Gas House follows suit. An irresistible bassline is cut with riding synth and pad work, and married with impeccable percussion to create a real driving sense of urgency as the track escalates into its peak. Full energy. No holds barred. Nose bleed banger.

Anteroom remains the dubbiest of the tracks, whilst Images keeps up the pace in what is a sublime selection of techno from McLardy. Closing the EP, Ether’s ambience gently brings the EP back down to earth, in a gentle state of ethereal bliss.

SLT026 is a deep, melodic debut from another emerging Liverpool talent, Larmour.

Alone is a synth-led cut that is intersected with warm pads & tight drum production. The track grows across 9 minutes from its core attributes into a full-tilt hypnotic wonder-web of emotive layers & sounds. A great title track.

Fading follows a similar line of production. Pads, percussion & dazzling synthesisers tie the second track of the EP down as an uplifting dancefloor pumper, with a bit of an edge.

Broken beats & tenner sweets. We love Slipping Away, and you will too. A super bright cut with one hell of a bassline, all neatly packaged together in Larmour's trademark sound. Big stuff, and he's only just getting started.
