Started my journey with a variety of electronic music styles but was mostly impressed by the fact paced, dark, hypnotic elements of the tracks. Since a year or so, I have been discovering more groovy, raw and hypnotic artists/tracks/labels which I am fond of now and that leads me to just get lost for hours back to back in the music when I start Dj’ing/digging new music.

Beside my own artist path, I have created the platform @osu.rhythms with my friend @jordy.maikel where we share music that we love to connect people with the more unknown side of the electronic music world. There are more things coming up from this platform so stay tuned!

Alexander Johansson & Mattias Fridell are two Swedish artists actively involved in the Techno and House scene since the late '90s, with an impressive amount of records released under their names.

Next up, they combine forces for the second EP on Recorded Things. Simhall 101 EP is a stunning mix of chaos and tension, with precise layered rhythms alongside hypnotic synth lines and beautiful melodies, whooshing arps surrounded by an excellent percussion workout. To be able to work on sound, you have to know silence in depth. In order to create sound elements, it is necessary to delve into their absence. Ignoring the parameters, dynamics, and mechanisms of silence in music production leads to an incomplete end result. How can we fight the silence? 

This question has been the obsession of two DJs and producers, who have spent the last few months analyzing and working on the most feasible answer. Joton and C2Ø have joined forces to design a sound experiment based on the most industrial techno that combines the values of the past with the audacity of the most futuristic sounds.
