Panorama Bar resident and Love On The Rocks label head Paramida joins us for the 92nd edition of the Phonica Mix Series. 

Since moving to Berlin in 2010, Paramida has since become a key figure in the cities ever-expanding electronic music scene. In 2014 she launched her Love On The Rocks label which has seen releases from Massimiliano Pagliara, Telephones, Fantastic Man, Elles, Violet, Alex Kassian and more.  

Having spent five years working at Oye Records, Paramida is certainly no stranger to digging. Each of her varied DJ sets brings a new beacon of pleasure and surprise. Blending proto-house to trance, percussive gems with high-energy techno, Italian dream house and irresistible new beat. Sounds that are very much reflected in this here recording. Brassica turn for Vivod see’s him on top form following his release on Feel My Bicep late last year (and a mix for LYO few months ago). His "Blue Function EP" is a expansive affair taking in House, Techno, EBM and more with opener "Coco Diaz" starting procedeengs as a weirdo acid burner. We then have a u-turn with "Splash", premiered here, somehow new age house jack but still with that unmistakable Brassica touch. On the flip "Nothing to Say" is an unsettled beast with horror vibes and things are rounded off with title track "Blue Function", a more laid back shroom opus. 
With Blue Function Brassica’s music continues to set him apart ; having already earned himself an enviable list of supporters including Bicep, DJ Harvey, Maceo Plex, Trevor Jackson, Henry Saiz, Andrew Weatherall and Erol Alkan ; Brassica has been winning more hearts and minds with recent Live performances at Warehouse Project, Shine, Marble Factory, Bloc, Corsica Studios and more.
