It’s that first jump – you know the rules, you know the risks. While hanging from a cliff you can see a constant battle between the ocean and the shore. It seems incoming tide wins this time while you fly down towards black waves – untimely gulp for air can be your last. But those rules and risks turn to strokes with no distractions, no respire only an hour of intense rhythm falling down wave after wave.

Yan is a very versatile DJ possessing the most important ability of djing and since that talent was discovered – learning from his slots at different parties and choosing the right tunes for each event he is asked to play. Affiliated projects to Harmony Rec. and promoters in Prague are well aware of his skill, which gives him even more power to dig deeper and not to bring overplayed stuff to the dancefloor. Pattrn, co-founder of FTRSND collective, a Brussels Electronic Marathon festival, as well as Initiate, an event concept. 

He’s a multi talented artist, who started his musical journey at the age of 4, playing the violin. He studied acousmatic music composition at Mons Conservatory and sound engineering at SAE institute Brussels. He has worked at Fuse club as sound engineer and later has been working as head booker there. 

Since the early ages he has always been attracted by knobs and ropes. It was pretty logical he ended up patching and twisting modular synthesizers and drum machines. He uses his many talents and exceptional ear to create a unique atmosphere during his sets, fueled by the energy the audience gives him. Tireless, he packs a load of power in his sets!

Art Bei Ton Podcast 019: Pattrn

Justine Perry is a Berlin-based techno DJ. Attracted by the Berlin club scene, her sets are influenced by dark and deep techno, bringing the public to a hypnotic experience. Setting up in Berlin, she starting her collaboration with new artistic projects like Art Bei Ton and helped those events to feature more female artists.

As part of the LGBT+ community, Justine embraces the need of getting a more safe and diverse scene, involving more women and queer artists, as well as fighting against any form of discrimination.

Established herself in Europe, she played in prestigious venues, such as Rex Club in Paris, Khidi in Tbilisi, Griessmühle, or Tresor in Berlin, as well as some festivals, like Forte Festival in Portugal and soon Instytut Festival in Poland.

In 2020, in collaboration with Petit Astronaute, Justine Perry released her first track « Swell » out on DNC Limited.
