Akal means "undying." We chant the Akal for 17 days after someone passes away, usually for 11 minutes, to honor them, to aid in their transition, and to help process our grief. My version of the Akal is dedicated to both my father and to Guru Jagat. I hold so much gratitude in my heart for you both, Thank you. And to those listening, may this Akal bring you solace and help you to move through your grief.

The force behind OSLEE is Libby Dorot, a classically trained singer and pianist, certified Kundalini Yoga teacher and Litios light priestess based in Los Angeles. Libby began her music career at age 8 when she performed her first role with the Washington Opera as an angel and she hasn’t stopped since.
 
As soon as Libby discovered Kundalini Yoga, she fell in love with its transformative power and was inspired to produce mantra music in her own contemporary style. Her music has been described as “Lana del Rey meets Chakra music,” and “the Lady Gaga of mantra.” 

She performs her high elevation, heart centered music for the Aquarian Age around the United States as well as internationally at festivals, retreats, workshops, and seminars in places including Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. 

Her sophmore mantra album, “Songs for my Teacher,” is out now and available on all major platforms. Written at the request of her teacher, Tej Kaur Khalsa and features 3 mantras used for particular Kundalini Yoga meditations, some for which there were no known recordings - until now.
