Kicking 2024 off with an incredible edit on our 'X-PRESSINGS’ edit series by London-based sonic duo Beyond The Struttosphere. They're currently dominating, showcasing their considerable musical production expertise and unwavering passion for cosmic, chugging dark disco.

Their debut EP released on Gouranga Music found much acclaim among Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston’s A Love From Outer Space online fraternity, also appearing on Juan Mclean’s (DFA Records) contribution to Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space mix series.
Propelled to newfound heights, the cosmic duo have since released a number of highly lauded EPs, remixes and edits on esteemed labels and now of-course on our ‘X-PRESSINGS’ edit series.

Beyond The Struttosphere’s music has made sonic reverberations around the globe and has been remixed by notable legends of the scene including; Rebolledo, Rigopolar, Vongold, Badknife and Mufti to name a few. The cosmic cowboys have been deep in the studio recently, working on new material, with live guitar now a mainstay of their productions. Their trademark sound combines resonant chugging basslines with reverbed guitar riffs, syncopated arpeggiators, 80s-inspired synths, vintage vocal samples, Italo drum fills and psychedelic 303 sequences.

Trym Søvdsnes´ excellent track ´Goodboy Acid´ pushes that classic norwegian west coast hybrid of house and disco. Rumbling dubby percussion with psychedelic vocal offerings. Norwegian label LEK releases a compilation of "smooth" electronic productions. 

"During summer of 2023 we got the idea to unite norwegian and georgian producers to a compilation for the further enhancing of our nations bond. Rather than just asking for tracks, we sent out an invitation commisioning everyone involved to make a smooth track. As per usual on LEK, there were no limitations in terms of genre, but the track had to be somewhat relevant to the floor.

The total variety of different expressions far exceeded our expectations, and we are proud to present this compilation ranging all the way from deep dubby downtempo, party house, electro in many forms, and multi-crossovers."

Daydreaming is part of our nature, a process that is unknown, natural and unknowable. Argentinian-born, now Italian-based artist Aldave knows something about it, as he signs the seventh La Zic release with a dreamlike EP enriched by a remix from Berlinese veterans and Bondage Music heads of Pornbugs. The lead track rolls tight with dubby spacey chords, mental atmospheres, hypnotic vocals, and rolling minimal techno grooves, with the Pornbugs duo going even harder with a stomping version perfectly aligned with their dynamic, enchanted and driving sound. On the B-side, Aldave leans towards more trippy scenarios with fairytale pads, acid, slippery synths, and lean, robust drums. As always, daydreaming.

OsloClubCast was initiated by Vinny Villbass in 2012 to promote the emerging club scene of the norwegian capitol. Every week, the clubs of Oslo sent resident dj´s to record their sets at the tiny venue Turkish Delight (RIP). The response, both live and online was massive!

Since then, OsloClubCast has been hosting recordings at festival stages and different Oslo venues, focusing on both legendary and fresh talents, spreading the essence of the norwegian sound.
