DJ 3000 redefines the fusion of Detroit Techno and Albanian identity on new EP "Shotë", out soon on Motech Records as a limited edition vinyl and digitally.

With over two decades of pushing boundaries, DJ 3000 returns with "Shotë" — a striking new EP that reaffirms his place at the crossroads of Detroit Techno and global rhythm. Out soon on Motech Records, "Shotë" is a four-track, limited-edition release pressed onto 12" vinyl with vibrant jacket artwork that reflects both his cultural heritage and sonic evolution.

Named after a traditional Albanian folk dance, the title track "Shotë" anchors the record in deep, ancestral roots while remaining forward-facing, raw and emotionally resonant. "Shotë" balances past, present and future in equal measure.

"I've been making records for over 20 years, but I still approach every release like it's my first. With "Shotë", I wanted to honor where I come from without the music sounding nostalgic or dated. The culture's in there, but the sound is timeless and alive," says DJ 3000.

Each track on the EP tells its own story:
• "Shotë" – a reimagining of a traditional Albanian rhythm, layered with tough grooves and hypnotic builds.
• "Laya" – built on hypnotic motion and rolling percussion, its haunting vocal textures hint at deeper rhythmic traditions.
• "Lumni" – from the Albanian word for "blessed", it carries a spiritual weight wrapped in rhythm and resolve.
• "Qilim" – inspired by handwoven Albanian rugs, its detailed arrangement plays like sonic embroidery.

This EP is a continuation of DJ 3000's mission to merge deep roots with futuristic form. "Shotë" represents raw, focused techno that respects the past while refusing to stand still.

Selene has a love for hypnotic, atmospheric but raw techno, characterized by dominant trippy rhythms and textured elements. Selene builds musical journeys through extemporizing and sensing the moment on the dancefloor, where she hides these hypnotic yet powerful cycles. The sound that have gained the likes of many key venues in Europe such as Paradigm, RSO.Berlin, Tresor, Tempio del Futuro Perduto Milan, Lofi, Awakenings & Radion, to name a few. Her personal vision is to always reinvent herself as an artist, even when playing the same musical styles and she is always looking for fresh artists to support. As co-founder of RIOT, she aims to widen perspectives by pushing female+ talent in the electronic music scene by organizing raves, radioshows and more events for female+ artists.

Osmium Cast 015 - Selene

Marisa Joyce is a Techno DJ based in Zurich, Switzerland – a passionate sound explorer whose heart beats in sync with the pulse of the underground. 
 
Her musical language is dark, minimal, and driving. Hypnotic patterns pull you inward, while groovy undertones create waves of release. Within her preferred tempo of 133 to 140 BPM, she weaves tension and flow into a raw, immersive experience that resonates far beyond the dancefloor. 
 
Rooted in the Swiss scene, Marisa has performed in some of Zurich’s most iconic venues – including Hive, Exil Club, Maag Event Hall, Kauz Club, and at the closing parties of Club Zukunft. She has also brought her energy to clubs in Lucerne, Basel, and Glarus. 
 
Though still early in her career, Marisa moves with intention – open to new challenges and driven by a quiet fire to grow beyond borders. 
 
Music isn’t just part of her life – it is her life force. While many genres inspire her, Techno is home: a place where she can lose herself fully, whether in the middle of a crowded dancefloor or behind the decks in the heart of the night. 
 
What matters most to her is the shared creation of something real – a unique, unrepeatable energy that only happens when dancers, DJs, and organizers come together as equals. Everyone is part of the magic. Everyone leaves their mark. 
 
Her inspiration comes from everywhere: the textures of everyday life, other styles of music, the people who’ve walked with her since the beginning – and the simple truth that in this world, there are no creative limits. Techno, to her, is not just rhythm. 
It’s freedom. Connection. Transformation.

With the Scratch EP, Scottish techno powerhouse Gary Beck delivers four razor-sharp cuts that bring raw energy and dancefloor pressure to FJAAK’s label CROWD. Known for his unmistakable grooves and stripped-down power, Beck presents a no-frills EP that bridges classic techno aesthetics with forward momentum.
Opening with the single ‘French System’, the EP kicks off in full throttle. It’s a propulsive roller built around tough drums, catchy synths, a female vocal leading the way and Beck’s signature percussive tension. Title track ‘Scratch’ follows with a twitchy, angular rhythm that spirals around a fragmented vocal motif and bold machine-funk energy with tense breaks leading to ecstatic drops. On the record’s flip side, ‘How Do You Feel’ keeps the level high, fusing jacking rhythms with a funky vocal and a Beck’s heavy signature kicks. Finally, ‘Eclipse’ closes the EP pushing the energy into darker territories with relentless drive, its distorted pulse and industrial edge.
This release marks a fierce debut on CROWD for Gary Beck – four no-nonsense weapons crafted for peak-time moments and the rawer corners of the club. A heavy-hitting addition to the label’s catalog and a must-have for techno selectors with a taste for precision and punch.

Premiere: Artificial DNA - Telefone Speeche [Synergie]

Fast. Impulsive. Techno. Three words to establish and define what the artist known as Egotot is all about. The young musician, hailing from the deep south of Germany, sets quite the pace when it comes to his vision of electronic music, regarding both tempo as well as quality. His beats, be in the studio or in the DJ booth, appear to come and arrange themselves seemingly with no effort. A Rave-infected sonic testing ground without ever feeling like a simple Rave pastiche. A vision of Techno that is obviously inspired by its sound of the 90s, but neither exceedingly aggressive, nor excessively happy.

Egotot has a special taste for rugged, up-tempo grooves which demand their own time to breathe and reveal their power. A sonic all-purpose weapon to be used on, for, and by the dance floor. However, his sense for music doesn’t stop at the edge of dancefloor-oriented Rave. It goes far beyond, right to and through the sometimes more and sometimes less subtle tides of electronic music.

This exemplarily reflects in his very own imprint, Schimmer Records, which he founded in 2019. The label has, in a rather short period of time, already evolved to a sonic reservoir of all different shades, all of which share a commonality – quality in production, love to detail, and an undeniable appeal to avid devotees of electronic music of all kinds. 

There is nothing confusing about Egotot’s take on music. It is clean-cut, it is straightforward, it is always effective. The Industrial clout, the fast groove, the merciless rigor – this is how Techno should sound in the 21st century, and Egotot is its perfect avatar.
