PREMIERE: Prime Time Band - Fall In Love In Outer Space (Chuggin Edits Rework) [Too Slow To Disco]

The eclectic nu-disco vibes of Double F.O.G. aka Chris Armstrong have been pricking up many an ear the past few years with some superb appearances on Hot Digits and Bandolier records to name but a few. This debut 3 track Ep on Hot Digits Music (an ode to his love for his missus I might add) showcases this rising talent with the Lyn Collins sampling opener “Lose My Mind” which is all mid tempo analogue funk of the highest order. “Baby Don’t Change” ramps up the wobble for another speaker busting slice of slo-mo house before we take things real deep with closing track “Wanna Be Your lover” featuring some cracking vocoder vibes reminiscent of some of Daft Punk’s ballad work. Disco Daze Stephen Richards returns to the label for his cracking remix of “Baby Don’t Change” where the Waterford producer cranks up energy with some slo-mo hip-house textures. A highly original 3 tracker for the more discerning dance floor and terrace.

For their first ever double-LP outing Razor-N-Tape presents POOLS, with a sun-drenched and laid-back collection of tunes called Innertubes. POOLS, the moniker of Los Angeles duo Thee Mike Bee and DJ Morsecode, craft a sound that conjures up the easy going swagger and soulful grit of the left-most coast. The first two sides of original versions read like an album, perfect for a lazy Sunday rooftop BBQ with beers, bros and blunts, (although no doubt some of these gems will find their way into DJs' warm-up and boom-bap sets). Sides C & D elevate the juncture to dance floor level, with smooth and varied remixes from RNT stalwarts Luvless and DJ Vas, plus label newcomers thatmanmonkz and Junktion.

Universal Cave is a record label headed by the Philadelphia trio https://soundcloud.com/shawnryan, https://soundcloud.com/ryanmtodd and https://soundcloud.com/brianhartcassidy. The label originated as the result of years of collective digging, DJing and production. Known for their eccentric mixtapes, extensive record collections and discovering rare grooves, Universal Cave DJs clubs and all night dance parties, filling floors to an eclectic range of music they dub Forward Deep & Free. 

The record label has eight releases, ranging from signature soft rock and AOR to disco, boogie, and deep house. Artists include The Beat Broker, Sorcerer, Jaz and Selvagem.

Shawn Ryan is also one half of the duo https://soundcloud.com/superprince1, who recently released their debut 12" on Razor-n-Tape Records. Ryan M. Todd (Darklord Disco, Hounds of Hell, Darklord Chimney, one half of Robotique) is also label head of Going Home Records.
