Rising star Innellea demonstrates his prowess with four diverse, powerful cuts.
In a short time Innellea has made a significant impact. His production is inventive and progressive, gracing dance floors with emotional depth, considered arrangement and pumping rhythms.
His EP opens with ‘Confronted Reality’, which is driven by an oscillating low end, complemented by an emotive melody and a huge riff - tinged with drama throughout. Next up it’s the title track, a morose cut that utilises breakbeat-esque rhythms, piano keys and warped vocals. On the flip The Loss Of Hope’ features beautifully composed, trance-esque layers drift over a driving rhythm - lifting spirits and invoking the Heaven within. Finally, ‘Irreversible’ takes us into the darkness, with spinetingling melodies and hard-hitting drums ...

Paco Osuna's Mindshake welcomes a new techno release from Egbert who is well-known for his enthralling style with brooding intensity.

Based in the Netherlands, Egbert has released his music on scene leading techno labels such as Drumcode, Terminal M and Second State.

Egbert has been a regular feature of Mindshake, and this is his fifth solo EP in addition to numerous remixes and VA appearances.

Each of the three original tracks on this EP has a peak time energy with driving percussion and captivating synth lines.

'Overpressure' opens the release with its pulsating bassline and acid stabs that are augmented with explosive vocal textures. 'Machine' has fizzing hi-hats and a hypnotic synth line that add to the funk-fuelled groove. 'Power' closes out the release with its pounding kick drum and onslaught of fast-flowing rhythms underpinned by a monstrous bassline.

British maestro Massano follows up his ‘Solitude’ release with four fresh cuts full of wistful emotion and solemnity.

Title track ‘System’ opens the EP with a jagged riff, sombre low end and spinetingling melody. Next is his rework of ‘Drown’ by Øostil & Juan Hansen, which utilises a haunting vocal to tantalise your very essence. ‘Odyssey’ features an almighty breakdown and galloping drums to get the energy pumping. Patrick Topping announces ‘Trick Presents Lethal Bangers Vol. 1’ 

Trick label boss Patrick Topping recruits a host of modern dance music’s most exciting talents for ‘Trick Presents Lethal Bangers Vol. 1’, the imprint's latest compilation. Showcasing his knack for A&R and keenness on pushing fresh talent, the roster contains numerous first-timers on the label as well as returning fan favourites. 

“To be fair, all these could have been A sides, they are that good! I’m buzzing to unleash these 19 bangers on the world. The variety in sounds is what Trick is all about, but they are all connected with a certain energy and distinction. Obviously, I’m biased, but I do think this compilation is unlike any other VA I’ve heard, and I’m really proud of it. It’s mainly an eclectic selection of house and techno, but there are a couple of cheeky Makina tunes thrown in at the end, for the craic! It's the first time Trick’s released Makina music, but the quality of the other 17 house and techno tracks, makes me think there’s the freedom to do so. Hopefully people enjoy them as much as I’ve enjoyed playing them out.” - Patrick Topping.

It doesn’t get much bigger than this: Adam Beyer links up with Green Velvet and Drumcode’s outstanding rising star Layton Giordani for a debut collaboration.

Some musical partnerships feel fated. Both fans of one another’s work, for years Adam Beyer and Green Velvet had discussed writing music together. In turn, Beyer’s protégé Layton Giordani had admired the Chicagoan’s work for as long as he could remember. When the 25-year-old found himself playing alongside the green mohawked legend at Belfast’s Shine, the spark and subsequent friendship was immediate. With the links now set in place, it was only a matter of time before the trio’s creative chemistry would manifest musically.

‘Space Date’ was conceived organically and birthed quickly. Propelled by Green Velvet’s trademark vocal hypnotism, the triumvirate combine to craft a pumping intergalactic slice of techno laced in melody that’s highlighted sets by Beyer at Awakenings, Ushuaia and also EDC Vegas when Green Velvet dropped it to a raucous response. The track is complimented by ‘Rome Future’, the product of a year-long series of productions between Beyer and Giordani. Deftly combining crisp drum work, catchy vocal effects and a powerful bassline melody that gives the track an almighty kick, it will be familiar to many who’ve followed their sets over recent months.

The past year has seen Alan Fitzpatrick collaborating with Sasha, Skream and most recently, Grammy Award winning duo Camelphat. With a string of successful releases under their belt and so many amazing demos landing in Alan’s inbox each week, ‘We Are The Brave’ proudly announce their debut VA - ‘Electric Soul Music Vol. 1’ due to be released in May 2019. 

Consisting of 20 tracks, the VA features a wide selection of artists; core artists making their return to the label alongside fresh talent who have caught Alan’s attention in recent months. 

The core ‘We Are The Brave’ roster acts are back with a vengeance, delivering their usual sounds, full of energy and oozing attitude. Reset Robot offers his euphoric and emotive track ‘Evolver’ while A.S.H makes his comeback with the seriously acidic rave beat ‘Agenda’ managing to successfully merge trance and techno. Skream makes a welcome return with ‘SleepyTime’, loaded with industrial drums and sharp ricocheting sonics, the track creates a paradise of stabs and wonky 5am dreams. Not forgetting the label boss himself, ‘Treat Me Like A Whore’ see’s Alan at his best, incorporating 90’s clubland vocal stabs, in an anthem style track.

Many new artists are also making their debut on the label; Southampton duo  Collective States set the tone with their opening track ‘Recogniser’, an ‘acid-renaissance’ floor filler sure to cause a storm in the clubs. Lazar, Joe Blake, Denney, VONDA7 X Raito all deliver some serious progressive big room beats, synonymous with the ‘We Are The Brave’ sound. Superstrobe & Dominik Vaillant, Konrad and newcomers KUSP offer up their energetic, heads down, late-night techno cuts. 

Alias features a seriously uplifting slice of tech with ‘Body Kontrol’ featuring an undeniably catchy vocal. On a similar tip, Matt Sassari and Oscar L team up for the first time to create the powerful percussive stomper that is ‘A Different Day’. 
Among all these new names, of course Alan welcomes back Frankyeffe, uhnknwn, Rudosa, 9th House and Linus Quick who all get into the mix with some absolute gems. Not forgetting Avision dropping in some NY soul for good measure.

Oscar L, Matt Sassari - A Different Day

With Topping describing the EP’s title track as the “heaviest” thing he’s ever produced, ‘Dungeon Freak’ is an unrelenting slab of rave techno, with Daddy Dino’s deadpan, spoken-word vocals only adding to it’s dark aura. Similarly cold and heavy, ‘Snide’ is a chunky, metallic number that continues to build in intensity across its seven minutes.     

“This EP is more like the vibe of ‘Watch What Your Doing’ EP. The title track is so dark, with mad ravey synths but the bit I’m most excited about is the vocal! 
“The phrase ‘the techno dungeon’ is really just a daft thing me and mates used to say years ago about when you are locked on the dancefloor and can’t leave because your so into the music. So it’s more a metaphorical place in your mind, than it is an actual dungeon or venue!”

TRICK was initially launched as a platform to exhibit Topping’s versatility as a producer, as well as a platform to showcase the wealth of emerging talent which he has been pushing in his DJ sets. Prior to ‘Dungeon Freak’ he has released two EPs on the label, ‘Watch What Ya Doing’ and ‘Turbo Time’. The latter of which was selected as the ‘Hottest Record’ on BBC Radio 1, gaining support from the likes of Gerd Janson, Denis Sulta, Fisher, Diplo, Eats Everything and Jamie Jones.

If you been paying close attention to artists who have been making waves in the techno scene as of late then there's no doubt that Weska should be an artist who you've come across. Born in Canada but now based out of Germany, he's been gaining some serious support over the past few years with releases on labels like Drumcode and Octopus Recordings.

This year has already seen Weska embark on a new journey as well with his self-released Waves series picking up momentum with his recent third edition. But that wasn't enough to satiate his cravings for releasing absolute tunes as today, he's gifted us all with a free download of his "Don't Think" edit.

Originally crafted by renowned The Chemical Brothers, Weska reworked the tune so that it would fit seamlessly in his own sets. The result? Pure techno goodness. His spin has been perfect to listen to in nearly any setting whether it be your own living room or a massive stage at Creamfields where Adam Beyer and Cirez D played it out for a crowd of thousands.
