Every episode features a lengthy set surrounded by a spoken in- & outro. For our 20th edition we were able to bring you an artist who’s really been making huge moves in the scene both on his own and with the incredible HAYES Collective from Portugal. Temudo actually started out in drum n bass which explains certain choices of aesthetic in his techno.

Having studied music and being a mixing and mastering engineer himself, Temudo blends the musical and technical approaches in order to control powerful sound designs often through controlled saturation. Sequenced textures give a lot of groove to his pacey tracks and it’s for this reason he’s been able to score a lot of very interesting record deals with some of the scene’s most sought-after labels. Klockworks, Soma, and MORD have all had the chance to work with him and that’s only this year.

VOLTAGE Podcast 20 - Temudo

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from AISHA. The Glasgow based DJ and producer has been one of the brightest talents coming out of Scotland and she quickly made a name of herself with super nice high energy, trance infused productions. We've been enjoying her EP on Drec a lot as of late and she also a resident at Animal Farm Glasgow. Today she delivers a scorching mix of her deadly dance floor decimating sound.

We are starting the New Year with a banging mix by Hanna Baertig. She is part of "Aller Ende Anfang" a rad independant label and party crew from Berlin hosting parties at some great locations pushing a sound we feel connected to.

This mix is a bit on the heavier side of our spectrum but yet again a voyage in itself and perfect for us. Hanna has been busy playing parties and sharing her sonic vibes since 2018 and is without doubt a great DJ as you'll be able to tell. She is definately someone to have on your radar!  

Hanna about her mixed feelings:

What motivated me to create this mix are the memories of countless light-hearted nights on packed dancefloors and the hope that one day we will be hopefully able to dance together again in a truly carefree way. Therefore I tried to create a contrast between peak time bass bangers and dreamy melancholic beats that have been making my heart beat lately, to express this memory in a musical way.

The duo are known for their vinyl-only sets that focus on 1990s - 2000s progressive tribal and trance, 0effortlessly blending back and forth between the two.

With the VOI 030 — »Sense«, the project Z.I.P.P.O (@zpakazippo) enters a new sphere within its own sound direction. This release is characterized by IDM texture work, glitchy percussion and drum patterns, that find their room within deep atmospheric spaces and carefully placed delay programming. Certainly, recognizable is Maffei’s eclectic taste for more complex electronic bits, which are also known from his more demanding DJ sets. »Sense« brings together different factettes of his nicely equipped studio arrangement, as you get to hear a range of grainy saturated hardware synthesis to innovative and more complex sound design. The sound of this record combines a bit of everything while keeping its very own character. If you like to give it a name, then it might feel like Aphex Twin meets Doppler Effekt and Pan Sonic.

With a seasoned background in London's underground techno scene, Ossou Erratic is the creative force behind Reflex Interference.

His craft is informed by his lifelong ADHD, and encomposes high energy and multi-deck mixing, crafting raw, contrasting melodies, marked by a focus on texture, tension and release, and techno’s roots in driving synths and heavy kicks.

Not defined by one genre - there’s influences from House to Hip-Hop, Grime, and percussive club sounds. Labels such as Symbolism, Tresor and Planet Rhythm have had a heavy impact, as well as the sounds of Detroit, Berlin, Chicago, Birmingham, London and New York of the late 90s and early 2000’s.
