Hot on the heels of no.name’s recent ‘Unseen’ release, praised by Luke Slater, Ben Sims, Truncate, Shlomi Aber and B.Traits, Canadian/Bangladeshi imprint Mind Medizin continues its upward trajectory with a groovy third instalment. Now, Italian DJ and producer Linear System (Symbolism/Edit Select/Planet Rhythm) takes the reins with his warehouse-ready ‘Simian’ EP. Sinister pads creep over chugging percussion, alarming bleeps and moody basslines in the loopy ‘Simian’, before rolling low-ends meet eerie analog synths in ‘Unknown Object’ as heavy claps complement crashing cymbals close this otherworldly techno EP.

F.RITS - The Silent Patient

Material Ventures is my first official EP. Over eight months I produced numerous tracks demonstrating a broad spectrum of techno, initiating with a blend of tech-house and techno and culminting in some blatantly dark techno atmospheres. It manoeuvres across BPM's, energy, emotion and rhythm attempting to lighten the load for DJ's with abrupt changes and emphatic switches. Being comprised primarily of samples recorded from my modular eurorack and other studio tools a lot of the sounds are consequently very experimental.

The name of the EP was originally derived from an alias I planned to use but thought it more fitting as a title for the EP. It avoids being too cryptic and purely references the inspiration derived from sonic ventures of playing live on physical hardware and instruments, hence 'Material Ventures'. I am incredibly excited to share this EP with the community. On that note, expect more releases in due time.

Kirra Rengo is the opening salvo to @ryanjamesford “Stone Mountain Red” EP - starting off with deluge of percussion that carefully steeps its way into the subconscious before settling into a hypnotic groove that is surrounded by a vocal sample that refuses to let go even when the song reaches its zenith. The structure of this tune will lend itself nicely to anyone that wants to kick-start a dance floor with an embrace of melodic energy and percussive multidimensionality, and we couldn’t happier to share it with you all.
