The new face on our label is, Switzerland based artist, Mario Neha! The talented musician has been active on the stage for some time, where he has signed his music on labels such as Inyan, Voltaire, Monog Records, Flower Power and many others. Its sound varies from a light electronic, deep old school house wolf, to slightly louder rhythms and sharper melodies. Which is to say, Mario is anything but an ordinary musician. Very unique in ideas and free when it comes to experimenting with synthesizers, sounds that completely enrich his songs.

“Elevator,” a track he signs for us, is accompanied by two phenomenal remixes. On remix duty we have Ultravision and St. Kinnord. There is no need to waste words on the music of Ultravision. Definitely one of the better producers from the opus of organic house music. St. Kinnord comes to us from Australia, and as far as we were able to follow, the conclusion is that his sound is based on detroit synths in a deep house environment. A very diverse release, perfect for house music lovers.

Mix number 12. A personal milestone and a checkpoint to look back at and be proud of. Creating a mix for me is a weird process. I consume the tracks over months and even years, put them in playlists and imagine what kind of ride I can take us on. There’s tracks that fit better towards the start of a mix, and there’s tracks that sound better towards the end. Everything in between is improv magic for me. I know what sort of order I want to go in, but I never systematically know exactly what order they’re going to be played. Sometimes I get up and I know I’m going to bang one out to my best ability. Sometimes I get to minute 35 or 50 and just turn off the cdj’s. It’s a fun and psychotic way of always wanting to put my best foot forward and illustrate sounds that will please all our ears. 

This mix goes out to the homie Pandazos. One thing I’ve noticed and love about pandazos is that he brings excitement to anything. He’s just one of those guys that radiates excitement, even for the most mundane things. He doesn’t even try. We can be out shopping for different types of rice to cook, and it will be exciting. The way his big curls bounce up and down, the way his bulky body walks through the market aisles lol.. he’s just a fun ass dude that I’ve known my whole adolescence to now, but have only recently grown a more tighter brotherhood. That’s the gift I appreciate from Pandazos. The excitement. Also, the guy is an artist in the kitchen. He cooked me breakfast, lunch, dinner and MIDNIGHT SNACKS for 7 days straight. I would have starved in the Costa Rican jungles without him. He makes beautiful somethings out of literally nothing in the kitchen. This mix is a little more minimal driven, like how he likes em, but I still add my little flavor of what I love from that genre.

Rework is set to self-release a new studio album Cue It Back in July, but before that comes 'Good For Ya' with remixes from Pezzner and Carerra & Tavares.

Rework aka Michael Kuebler and Daniel Varga are prolific and accomplished producers with a new wave house sound. They have released on cult labels like Playhouse, often collaborate with vocalists, and only in 2022 did they put out their last album, Take Me Out on Exlove. They are stylistically hard to pin down as they prove again with this new single.

The fantastic 'Good For Ya' is a signature slinky groove with artful synths dancing up top. Catchy female vocals drift in and out as the warm, paddy kicks bubble and bounce. It's sensuous deep house music that comes alive with molten neon synths weaving in and out as the bass grows ever more prominent.

Pezzner is a Get Physical mainstay who mixed up Body Language Vol. 22 and has contributed several of his famous deep house sounds to the label. His remix is seven sublime minutes of breezy house with sunny melodies and carefree chords. It's bright, feel-good but always classy as you get swept up in the deft synth designs.

Since hooking up in 2017, Carerra & Tavares have honed in on deep melodic house and bouncy tech. They are a key part of the Toronto scene and here they bring a prickly percussive vibe, tribal stomp and late-night mood to their remix. It's rippled with liquid chords that bring the soul.

All three tracks here offer very different and equally captivating sounds.

Crosstown Rebels’ offshoot label Rebellion inaugurates their 2021 release schedule next January with a four-track EP from @yokoo. Titled "Jivanmuktih", the release includes a collaboration with Atlanta-based artist Bobi @stevkovski.

Speaking on the release, YokoO described how the current circumstances helped his creativity, stating: “Following months of stillness away from touring life’s noise, disconnected from technologies and attuned to a profound state of presence in nature, I returned to my studio inspired and determined to create music that is different to what I had been known for. This EP showcases the continuation of my exploration through sounds as I transition further into my creative Self.” 

Higher State leads proceedings and showcases the French-native at his best. Shimmering synths reside atop a punchy four-four bassline, whilst whispering hats echo softly in the background. The EP’s collaborative effort comes next in the form of Spiritus Sexualem, which sees Bobi Stevkovski appear alongside. Stripped-back and spacious, reverberating vocals create an ethereal feel as minimal kick-hat combos round off the club-ready cut. Finis comes next, a progressive dancefloor number that features starry, emotion-fuelled chords before the title track brings things to a close with dubby kicks, soft pads and soothing vocal tones.

France’s YokoO is an esteemed talent in the melodic techno scene. Releases on Lee Burridge’s iconic All Day I Dream imprint, as well as M.A.N.D.Y.’s Get Physical, have cemented his reputation for all things deep, emotive and dreamy, whilst performances across all five continents have highlighted him as a truly global artist. Atlanta-based Bobi Stevkovski continues to establish his presence in the electronic music realm. A good friend of the French artist, Bobi is the founder of both Zemya Fest and Project B.
