With previous releases picking up heavy rotation from Truncate, Len Faki, Marcel Dettmann, and more, Brazilian producer Marcal shows no signs of slowing down with ‘Reduction Pt. 3’, his third appearance on Radio Slave’s techno-focused Rekids Special Projects imprint.

‘Cyclic Voltammetry’ opens the release with a barrage of hypnotic modulating FM tones and pounding kicks, before ‘Good Things’ brings trippy bleeps and phasing stereo FX across loose, shuffling percussion. The third track, ‘Droste Effect’ sees droning atmospherics and crunchy drums provide a bed for wriggling synths and eerie pads to shine through.

‘The Interloper’ follows suit, ramping up the intensity for a heavy heads-down affair, before closing track ‘Matsu’ twists dub-techno chords into a fast-paced stomper, offering a final dose of dancefloor artillery, rounding out another outstanding release from a rising star in techno.

Set up as the harder-hitting sister label to the lauded Rekids imprint, Radio Slave’s Rekids Special Projects has released music from Marco Faraone, SRVD, Anika Kunst, and more since its inception in 2017.

Filip Xavi is a Serbian techno artist who joins Loose following music on other respected techno outlets such as Bas Mooy's Mord, Pfirter's Mindtrip, Abstract Division's Dynamic Reflection, and many others of equal calibre. His sound has modulating analogue synths that create trippy ripples over stripped back percussion with a gritty aesthetic.

He is making his debut appearance on Loose Records, which was recently relaunched with a focus on abstract techno with dance floor appeal and immersive atmosphere. The imprint was originally founded by the late Rino Cerrone, and continues to represent his innovative approach to underground techno.

“A.Morgan returns to our label. The Manchester artist presents his next EP titled "Flesh", with 3 techno tracks and an ambient. The EP opens with “Static”, a drone / ambient track with a wide range of sounds processed with delays and reverbs creating open an soundscape. The second track is "Shimmer", direct bass, kick drum and sharp high hats, all this coupled with a melody and clean airs that fill the entire room. The third is "Flesh", the track that gives the EP its name, a very effective DJ tool where the whole sounds play with the main melody, without a doubt a winning horse. The EP closes with "Sidewinder", an overwhelming groove takes us fully into this techno journey, perfect for transitions.”
