Kosh continues to move at his own pace with his label Convergence. Musically, that's fast, but output wise, careful and considered, with over a year or more apart between each installment. That's because creating complex worlds within worlds, which the Moroccan artist has a knack for, certainly takes time. Now a trifecta of releases in, the Enslaved EP serves as his most fine-tuned and liberated project for the label yet. 

On the title track, split between a vocal mix and bonus beat version, Kosh delivers a cosmic and introspective electro demonstration at its core, with flares of psychedelic and trance inducing sonic fusions. Its lyrical content is trademark Kosh, with its cautiously optimistic reflections on the world intuitively tapping into the current zeitgeist, yet through a universal futurist lens, leaving the listener with a sentiment that's timeless and expansive. 

The flip side sees the filtered house foundation of "Supernova" burst into scorching Detroit style techno stabs before the EP enters into uncharted territory with the interplanetary escape soundtrack on acid that is "Above & Beyond."

This mix is a 3-hour journey I created as a kind of emotional and symbolic voyage — something that moves through darkness into light, into fire, and finally into a slow and tender resolution. 
It’s divided into four acts, each rooted in a different archetype, mood, and sound world. The genres shift along the way — from dark ambient and drone, through deep dubstep, experimental 170 DnB and (dub) techno, with touches of industrial and spoken word — but the emotional progression and sudden change of the genre and pace is deliberate and carefully woven.

ACT I - This act is the fall — a confrontation with fear, grief, the subconscious, and the underworld. It's dense and shadowy, drawing from darker ambient, experimental textures, and raw elements.
It’s about our dark shadow, sitting with discomfort, loss, and the unknown — allowing yourself to be undone.

ACT II - The second act is a glimmer — the first light after darkness. A quiet sense of hope, fragility, and openness appears. Sounds become airier, lighter, more spacious. This act is the breath after grief — not joy yet, but the possibility of it.

ACT III - This is the moment of arrival — fierce love, clarity, aliveness. The music becomes warmer, more energetic, rhythmic. Dub techno pulses emerge, fierce halftime grooves, emotionally expressive melodies. This act is about empowerment, connection, and the fire of selfhood.

ACT IV - The final act is a soft landing — the high fades into reflection and wisdom. It’s melancholic, spacious, and wise. The energy slows but doesn't vanish; it lingers like embers. Spoken word weaves through some of this, offering final thoughts, memory, and insight.
It’s the echo of the journey — not an end, but a return.

The mix is meant to be a whole journey — emotional, symbolic, and immersive — and I’d love for it to be felt that way rather than deconstructed by breaking apart the tracklist.



Take A Trip with mandarín

Lunar Bass returns with its second release, this time from Parisian artist Jespat, a guitarist, singer and producer crafting groovy, melancholic minimal house with live elements and a unique touch. The EP includes two remixes: one by Julian Debbag and another by Rewhite duo. A versatile and emotional ride, built for both the dancefloor and the soul.

You know, lately these tapez have been inspiring me in a very spiritual way. As I digitize them these songz from the past take me 2 that time & moment again. Not 2 mention all the DJ'z I became very tight with when I had them as live guest on our then radio show on 91.5 FM WPRK, Winter Park, Orlando. Of course big propz 2 my radio partner DJ Cano, We had a blast doing these showz. Big up'z 2 all the DJ'z that came through & all the other DJ'z that sent tapez of their mixes & Record Labels around the Globe who helped me make these thingz happen. It was a lot harder back then without the internet, but so much more gratifying.
Okay, now 2 the man on 2day'z mixtape. Derrick May, 1 of Detroit Techno innovators & my fave out of the Motor-City. I remember airing this mix on our show & the phones lighting up with listeners going ballistic!!! Derrick takes us there Detroit styleee!!!
