Heading for nowhere, escaping everything: pixels, metallic screams, doubts. Thinking that the point of the interstices is to interrupt the interminable - in a surprising way. As if the best way to find yourself were to get lost.

This episode of Canticles of Ecstasy opens with those important words by Leslie Feinberg, over the piece « Gay Guerilla » by Julius Eastman. 
Eastman was an avant-garde composer, American, black and gay. 
In the 60s, he quarreled with John Cage, who criticized him for &ampquot;sexualizing&ampquot; his work, for making visible a gay identity that Cage considered private or militant, but not &ampquot;art&ampquot;. 
John Cage was an avant-garde composer, gay and white.
Julius Eastman died homeless and ignored in 1990. 
His work began to gain public recognition in 2010
This mix is woven from these stories, their echoes, to remind us to never depoliticize our musical gestures, our intimacies, our streets, our parties, that should perhaps even be more and more invested by our struggles, our revolutionary love, by who we are, whom we fight with and what we stand for.
